RAWK is pretty much the same too yet all the other footy forums are enjoying England's run. Shed end, Kumb, spurscomminity, Oatz, goonerweb, redcafe etc

I have lost a bit of faith in England through the years but there seems to be a bit of camaraderie amongst the players and fans. When I think back to the German 4-1 drubbing and the tournament where we drew with Algeria 0-0 or even that Iceland game, we've not had much to cheer about for quite some time.

There is too much spitefulness regarding non City players, supposed agendas, negativity, victim complex on this forum, I'm hoping its just this forum and not City fans in general. I'm glad you're enjoying it at least mate

2 poachers goals in the first game he gets a lot of credit for from me. 2 penalties won by Lingard and Stones along with a complete fluke today, apart from that Young narrowly beat him to worst player on the pitch, he was completely fucking anonymous.

It is just this forum I think.

City fans generally are very supportive of England. We tend to sing England songs at games when playing European opposition, or we have in the past anyway.

All of my mates get behind England anyway and people at work in Manchester etc.

The Sterling shite is an agenda in the media but the rest of it I agree with you.

This forum can be what I’ve highlighted in bold there generally.
 
So will we go for a win against Belgium? Why would we want a harder game, it's a tough choice.

I also think the negativity is mainly on this forum, I was at a BBQ today watching the match with a few other blues, a couple of rags and a couple of dippers and we all had a laugh and cheered every goal like it was a club goal. Just get behind the lads you miserable shits!
 
It's mental here in Spain my local all England shirts. England's on fire Your defence is terrified being sung. Mrs Spanish ( restaurant manager) even went to work in an England top on yesterday .
We all know it won't last but we're enjoying it

To be fair, he was pretty ineffectual yesterday (penalties aside). Same with Vardy and Sterling, which suggests this team isn't set up quite as well as it could be (despite the great result). These are all excellent players but I'm not convinced we're getting the best out of them in open play.

Well they have a point, in that his general play isn’t the best. There was one point yesterday where he overhit a through ball for sterling that would have left him one on one. It wasn’t a difficult pass and Kane fucked it up.

The question what you want from your central striker is an interesting one. I think with Kane he doesn’t bring much else to the party but he scores goals. Has he missed a chance yet? And since goals are ultimately what the game is about, lots of people say ‘what more do you want’ with good reason. But likewise, if we are playing Spain or Brazil he isn’t going to be chasing and pressing and contributing like others in the team, even if you wouldn’t take him off with 20 minutes to go if you needed a goal.

Speaking for myself, he reminds me of Lineker. He didn’t contribute much in terms of general play, either, but he could score goals. One of the worst things Graham Taylor ever did was take Lineker off in his final match with about 30 minutes to go and England losing 2-1 against Sweden. He brought Alan Smith on in his place because ‘smith holds the ball up better’. Like I say, it’s about what you want your centre forward to do.
