If Colombia can beat Senegal then Japan have to beat Poland to top the group. I don't think that's an unlikely sequence of events.

Similarly, the German and Brazilian group placings aren't set in stone.

Teams don't want to finish winless (goalless in Poland's case?). I wouldn't expect a Japan walkover.
