I thought the defence was good. Unfortunately they had far too much to do because of the lack of quality in front of them.

The problem is, we can't play that way with the midfield we have. Might as go long straight away.

No mate we haven’t had a better England ‘team’ as results have shown, we’ve had better individuals and that’s why we haven’t even got close before this year.
I’m not daft at all, I watch and see something which hopefully will come to fruition. There’s plenty to improve on but I’m confident we’re moving in the right direction finally.

I'm so glad Sterling was not on the pitch when it all went to shit. There will be a struggle to find a scapegoat but sterling definitely won't be one of them. Perhaps the nation can understand now the difference sterling makes to the team, cos it was clear that when he went off that was it.

Just checked the BBC “Rate the Players” app, and noticed that Jesse Lingard and Jordan Henderson were given higher ratings than Raheem Sterling. Obviously.

Sterling was about 6.5 when he went off, and 5.6 ish at the end!

Why do pundits say Pickford is good with his feet. All I see is him leathering the ball as far as possible with his left foot with no direction.

he has been quite good with his feet. a lot of the time there were no passes on though.
