Jorginho

The quotes I read said

"I'd agreed a deal with them a fortnight ago, resolving various issues, but the player prefers London to Manchester and I can understand him, and then Chelsea are going to pay him more so I can understand him even more and I can't do anything about it.

It didn’t mention anything about Chelsea paying more. What I’m saying is if the above is not true the player could easily tell us so why would De Laurentis feel this would make us offer a higher fee. If the player prefers London then any increase in our offer doesn’t change that surely. Its irrelevant. If he doesn’t prefer London he just tells us and we sit tight.

However if the quote above is not quite correct he said Chelsea offered a higher fee then it makes sense.
You can get the full interview in Italian text and stick it through Google translate, he said Chelsea offered a bigger fee. Plus, his pet journalists are all quoting a £57m fee.

I actually have an issue with it as its a lie. We wanted Fred in January because Jorginho wasn't available.
Fair. I wasn't aware our main interest was because Jorginho wasn't available at that time.

Edit: Also, "a lie?" Come on. There's so much going around transfers that it's hard to know all the facts all the time. There's no call to say I'm a liar.

We haven't learnt from Alvez, you can't tell me City hierarchy didn't know Conti wasn't going & Sarri was coming in.

We allowed player to fuck off back to Brazil followed by his agent going back & forwards to London.
He had no World Cup, come do medical & sign pre contract.
City have some blame here & let him slip away.

Snooze you loose.

Tell us how we stop a player with no legal binding to us going to Brazil?
Stop spouting bollocks, there is enough in this thread already

Chelsea losing Willian and hazard and then getting Jorginho wil only put them backwards. Save the money put in a cheeky bid for hazard I read somewhere he’s desperate to leave and Barca started the talks

Hazard is bargain at €99m*

Transfermarkt valuation *

Their valuations are a load of bollocks as they think only in Bundesliga terms, although they've improved recently. The day after we signed Sterling he was something like £17m on there.

Just my thoughts, but what if Jorginho is thinking wtf. I've agreed with City, I'm going to City. I've done Sarri and now I want the best?
Don't Pep and Sarri have a mutual appreciation society? I'd have thought there will have been many phone conversations in the last 24 hours.
Do Chelsea even want him? It stinks.

To be honest if the lad signs for us all well and good if he ends up at Chelsea I’m not that bothered, didn’t we get aguero (if I’m right) after missing out or changing our minds on original target that didn’t work out to bad ...

Sanchez. We've just got Mahrez due to missing out on Sanchez again. Missed out on Laporte, ended up with Stones and Laporte. Missed out on Ter Stegen, after a year of Bravo we got Ederson. Missed out on Villa, got Silva. Missed out on a crocked 34 year old Dani Alves, got Danilo.

Do you reckon Guardiola would sell him at that price?
It depends on the price of his replacement?

Sterling has improved massively under Pep but you can see the frustration he can cause, look at Pep's face after Sterling's misses in the derby.

Edit: For all the slating Germany got leaving Sane out, I was very impressed by the cameo's of his replacement Julian Brandt from BL, he's 22 and valued on there at £36m
