Maybe they are just good businessmen and negotiators.

They are skint.

Went to Napoli away.

I kid you not.

On the concourse.

1 table.
1 till.
1 tall slim fridge.
1 box of sandwiches.
A couple of boxes of crisp.
A few cases of drink stacked on top of each other on the floor.
That was the catering for the away fans.
We had to line up in a single file queue.
My tuck shop at secondary school was better. :-)

The deal will be done but dealing with Italian teams is so frustrating they want the world for there players yet won't pay a penny for ours or want a 5 year loan deal, they are leeches

"Leeches" also known as...poor. Napoli have the wage budget of Burnley, and they're competing in the CL and against Juventus who as well as a much larger wage bill also have double their revenue.

Getting Champions League revenue and good money for players they've invested is how they survive, and asking €60, getting €50-55m for players like Jorginho is the only way they manage to compete, and in a market where Fred and Fabinho are going for the same amount, it's a more than fair price.

They can't afford to pay much for players we sell them because most of the time they're breaking their wage structure just to convince the player to sell - not to mention we're usually selling them 30 year olds with no resale value for them.

See @jrb's post above for more evidence of their being poor.

Weirdly enough I saw a guy today walking around in an old Napoli jersey. It had a graphic on the front of the Italian cup and the uefacup. Thought it was a strange jersey must have been from the late 80/90's

That's disappointing and worrying about more suffocating ffp though - I thought we'd seen off the worst of that corrupt rag-favouring shit, especially with Platini outed as a cheat.

We need to make hay while the sun shines if it's going to get worse then, before the debt-ridden bastards profit from everyone else's hands being tied on transfers.
