Thanks Joe. Big player, big personality, big winner. Fought like a lion for us, some outstanding games, Spurs, Borussia Dortmund, Messi pen save, Berbatov save in semi final, lots of occasions he won us points. The passion in his face when Gael runs towards him after us winning in 2012 will never be forgotten. Had a big feeling towards fans and will now hopefully see his career out with a few good years, apart from against us.

Nice one Ashton - fully agree.

Can not remember the season but that game at Spurs was the finest 90 minutes of goalkeeping I have ever witnessed.

Good luck Joe, keep practising the ball low to your left.

It was his first game back after his loan with Birmingham iirc.

Good for Joe, hope it all goes well for him, he was a major part of building which lead to Fa Cup win and 2 league titles, he along with others just didn't fit with what Pep wanted or was unsuitable due to his age. But we had him in his prime and he rarely let us down.

I am surprised it's taken Burnley this long to get it sorted, they knew two weeks ago Heaton was long term and Pope a couple of months out after surgery. Joe heading their was an obvious fit.

You can fucking spout off how he wasn't as good to you as others, that was your opinion, this is mine and my opinion won't fucking change neither, name me a better one we have had in recent times, you will struggle
Him being better than some of the keepers we’ve had since I started going isn’t a ringing endorsement.
Alex Williams was number one in the first game I went and since then it’s fair to say we’ve had some average lads between the sticks.
Tony Coton was my favourite up until last season. Hart was a decent keeper who as I said in my original post had some exceptional performances. He played his part in our early success so I can’t be too hard on him, I just didn’t think he was as good as others obviously do.
Not to dissimilar to how we both feel about Sterling.

His biggest moment for me was the outstanding save away against Villa when we won 1-0 and the title on goal difference... was a really pivotal moment towards the end of the season. SENSATIONAL!!

The dots meant fuck all mate,it's just my silly way of ending sentences, so apologies if you took that the wrong way.

Reading that, you must be a similar age to me,possibly slightly younger,as Joe Corrigan was my first keeper, followed by big Alex, and I agree Coton has been the best I've seen all the way up to Hart being with us,I just get a bit down at times regarding Hart,as there has been far too many negative comments on here about his private life, which has nowt to do with anyone really,he played a huge part in our recent successes, and we all must look back at that with fondness.

Don't bring Sterling up,for God's sake,I'm trying to remain happy as football is back this weekend

I think only City fans with fond memories of him still think this way, hence why it's taken until 6 days before the deadline for any club to show interest in him.
A very negative press campaign, (similar to that currently being experienced by Raheem Sterling), solely blaming him for every England defeat since approximately 2013 onwards, hasnt helped his cause in that regard.

I wish him well. Could be a good move for him. I've see every City goalie from Bert onwards and IMHO Hart was second only to the Great Man. A shade better than Joe Corrigan, but there wasn't much in it. Unfortunately for some players the game changes against them and this has been the case with Joe Hart. Again IMHO, Ederson is a better goalie in Pep's team than Joe might have been so we need to move on now Thanks for the memories - it was great while it lasted. Once a Blue, always a Blue !

He’s been a huge part of our recent history but no longer what is needed and overrated for a long time.
Fair play to him for always conducting himself as a good pro, never bad mouthing City.
I sincerely hope he rediscovers his mojo as long as it’s not against us (of course it will be...)
Good luck to him.

I haven’t been your biggest fan as a keeper Joe but thanks for everything you’ve done for City. Best of luck for the future!

How I choose to remember Joe.

CityWatch reporting he’s taking a pay cut to join them. Respect to him for that, if true.
Seconded by me. At his peak (say 2011-15), he was immense for us. Arguably the best 'keeper in the country at that time (De Gea and Cech fans wouldn't agree, but hey ho). He is some way off that form now, but hopefully this move might give a boost to his career. Will he be first choice ahead of Heaton and Pope once they're fit? All the best Joe.

Hope he doesn't bad mouth city once he leaves, but other than that I wish him every success.

Burnley is a very good choice too, not only a chance at the first team due to injuries but also two rival England keepers to compete with, if he regularly starts ahead of both of them then he may reestablish himself at national level too.
