This, if we don't enjoy it now we never will. My enjoyment of games I can't attend increased hugely by staying out of matchday threads the minute the team is announced makes in many times more enjoyable.

Weigl is interesting one, has huge potential but been poor the past 12 months. In theory Weigl should suit City's style like a glove, hes similar to Jorginho but bit more mobile and faster.

Verratti I think is unrealistic. Weigl is probably the best option out there unless they have spotted some gem that no one has ever heard of.

I agree mate.....would love Verratti but think Weigl might offer better value. Keeps things interesting for the last few days of the window!;)
 
He said someone “special” so right now it sounds like a world class player , that aside it must be someone who hasn’t been mentioned as of yet and we’ve overlooked

Cover now but by next season they probably need to take over from Fernandinho as he winds down. Could be Weigl he could be eased into the team it would give him plenty of time to rediscover his old form.
 
Don't think he would have mentioned signing a new DM unless we were confident of doing it. Zinchenko didn't even travel to London, and he was not injured, so I think something is going on. Didn't someone mention that we're interested in Ndombele? Would be my dream signing
