Who now then?...

Nah mate, not having that. It was a fuck up with the Jorginho deal, pure and simple. For the sake of a couple of mil it should have been wrapped up. We invested and wasted a lot of time on the deal and for a club with our wealth, instead of haggling over how many years we pay and a couple of mil here and there on various incentive related bonuses, we should have just nailed it off and not given ADL the opportunity to fuck us.

You would be a sellers dream how’s your business doing

Not overly bothered if anyone else is having it or not mate. It’s obvious we have our values and don’t go above them.

When the deal comes of with this strategy it looks like excellent work when we get gazumped it looks naive.

If we do go for another DM what's the bet we will have to pay more than Jorginho?

Yes, but if various reports were to be believed the only haggling we were still doing was over length of payments plus the add-ons. Surely to god we were well aware of ADL being an utter snake and consequently, as was later proved by our PR mistake, it would have been better to have just pinned it down when we had the opportunity. Anyway, hindsight’s a wonderful thing so no harm done, but I suppose we will judge how good we are at this once our replacment is targeted.

We paid more for Mahrez than we were willing to pay for Sanchez in January. Do you regret how that has worked out?

For what it's worth I reckon Mahrez will turn out an absolute steal. I reckon he'll score more and get more assists than anyone who plays out wide.

The Sanchez that ended up at United isn't the one that would have played for City. He would have been allowed freedom and to attack whilst having an abundance of attacking taken around him. Looking at how he has played there some could claim we dodged a bullet, what we cannot do though is no longer compete at the highest table. Of course we can be sensible but I don't think we can carry out losing our top targets if it is over a few million here or there. Especially when we are in talks with them for weeks/months which is wasted time looking elsewhere.
