We won’t sign someone for the sake of it though. It’s fair to assume that the club have a specific player in mind, given Guardiola’s comments yesterday, but actually getting a deal done in four days won’t be easy. Doubt we’ll be making any rash decisions on deadline day.

It's so hard to profile someone who can play in the single pivot, who's great on the ball but defensively diligent enough to win headers as that's one of the most important aspects of the position.

My guess is someone like Brozovic.
