There was an interview with Kyle Walker on Five Live last year where he kept being asked about de Bruyne, Silva and Sterling yet Walker said something like “yeah well it’s Fernandinho I always look at in training and I’ll tell you what Leroy Sané is the one to watch, he can be anything he wants if he believes it”. -I said in my initial post that this lad has the world at his feet and the potential to be one of the very best - is it attitude or confidence - both will be a hinderance as the best tend to have an air of arrogance as well a lot of the time

For me, I want Sané in the team. Potentially a superstar there, potentially the best player in our squad, shown signs and pieces of skill so far in his City career that there’s even a future Ballon d’Or winner there.

Agree, he is potentially a superstar and the best in the squad - but he is hit and miss at times. He shows signs but he is inconsistent (not unusual amongst young players - but Pep obviously sees an issue at some point.

That guy deleted the post and Sane has posted something on his instagram about the game tomorrow that implies he's looking forward to it. Think he was just talking nonsense as usual. As to what irked Lowe - its the fact that Sane has never played well for the national team, thats it - end of. Lowe is very pragmatic and picks his squads based on who has played well for die mannschaft. If you give your all at international level he will overlook poor club form (Boateng etc) but if you don't it doesn't matter if you're on fire like Leroy was last year.

I don't think he's admitted his mistake, or that he made one in the first place, Germany were shit in every position. Adding one very talented winger was not going to save them, and Leroy always blows hot and cold anyway, they would probably have had a disappointing tournament regardless. He's just welcoming him and several other young players to the fold now because they have two years before the next tournament and he wants to give them a chance to prove themselves beforehand.

Followed him for a long time now, yet to see him post anything that couldn't have been guessed, always seems to follow the prevailing wind. He also said he'd delete his account if Jorginho didn't sign for City and yet here we are...

Interestingly enough it appears he deleted his account after saying he was getting heat for posting about Sane. You're probably right, but I guess we'll see.

There's some nonsense going around about the lad today. This all started when a fool on the blue moon podcast reckoned Sane would be out the door and a "victim of Pep". I've never laughed so hard.

Leroy is one of those players who plays at such a speed he needs to feel his way into the tempo of game. He's always come off the bench to dodgy touches, that isn't a fitness or a focus issue.

Give him a start and he'll be flying.
