TO be world class you have to have an inner ambition and hunger Ronaldo has it Sane doesn’t have it but he can become a very good player I’ve rhis career.

Sane started slowly last year. He came on as a sub v Liverpool and ripped them apart. Let’s hope he makes Fulham suffer!

Leroy's a fabulous player and can reach the very highest levels but after watching the 'All or Nothing' documentary, you can see why managers find him difficult.
His body language is that of someone who'd rather be somewhere else and when he was taken off in one game after one of our team got a red card, he was totally sulky.
If he gets his head right he'll be a world beater but there's clearly a reason why both Pep and Lowe have left him out.
But God, when he's on form...

Sane in full flow is a fantastic talent. This kid has all the attributes to make it to the top if he applies himself and works hard.

Pep will only pick players on the Saturday if they are doing it in training in the week. No one on here knows what's going on in training, but there is obviously a problem and Leroy needs to apply himself 100% and ensure that Pep picks him.

The evidence would suggest it's fair comment from Kroos.

Agreed. And just confirms the pessimistic assessment on the state of things, meaning it's probably a serious issue. Sport is littered with examples of talented athletes who have squandered their opportunities, hope this does not happen with Leroy

Leroy Sane in "Footballer pissed off at being subbed shocker".

Does Tony Kroos sounds like a good teammate?

Perhaps not for certain players he thinks he can talk about in the media. Compare that approach to Pep’s treatment of Leroy and questions about who he conveniently picks on given the political climate (immigrants, race, etc) and its hard not to notice a theme.

Ozil also didn’t necessarily handle his beef with the German team well but there are real issues about treatment of perceived immigrants, etc. around the globe and in the German FA so Kroos then literally went and made things up about what Ozil said (Ozil didn’t say players on the team are racist) and now throws Sané under the bus.

Ever heard of a private word? He’s an even worse Scholes of German football in the media. Please stop talking.

Wrote in the All or Nothing thread earlier this morning:

"- Only player that I feel that something is not quite right with, is Sane. He feels very absent in the dressing room, made faces at Pep and now, knowing that both Loew and Pep has axed him in team selections recently, it worries me that his head is not there. The talent undoubtedly, but does he have the grit to mature and become even better? Time will tell."

Pep, Loew and now Kroos can't all possibly be wrong. There has always been moments where you feel that he is lethargic, even on the pitch, but they seem to be more frequent now and the minutes he played against Wolves were horrible.

Most City fans aren’t wrong either. You can normally tell within the first few touches weather he’s going to have a bad game or not. If it’s one of his bad games, he does nothing but annoy me. Hopefully he’s listening to the criticism he’s getting and learn for it.

He is so young and until now hadn't been slated in the media. Was due a rollocking. Sterling is starting to come through his. Gabby will be next.

Thought Sane preseason was very good but now is trying too hard to show Germany what they missed to the detriment of his defensive teamwork duties ? I do not think it will go down well with Pep having some world cup flop using Sane as an excuse to deflect their massive failure

I see at as a senior member of the squad helping out one of the younger ones, with the only intention of trying to improve him.
Exactky how I see it too. Kroos knows what he’s doing here. Maybe the quiet word has failed? Maybe Sane’s omission in the summer was because of his attitude? Maybe the senior players have had no choice now but to do this publicly, but for the sake of Sane rather than just being gobshites.
