New Ticket Website, not fit for purpose

Just tested it, search 4 tickets for Southampton. It gives the option of block 118 with the four seats at random places in the block. FFS.
Yes to be fair though it's unlikely there are 4 seats together available. That said it's still true you cant search for seats together if you want to test it though try one of the champions leage games weere it probably should find some seats together.

Nope, doesn't offer you seats together like the last site did, even when there are bucket loads available. Tried it many times.

When I actually spoke to a live person at Supporter Services he said “ it takes time for people to become accustomed to new things”.
ONLY IF THEY ARE FUCKING SHIT IT DOES.

I had to phone because the site wouldn't let me pay for my Cardiff ticket, they tried to charge the booking fee, I told them to fuck off because the online option was obviously not available to me. They waived the booking fee but then tried to tell me how good our system really is. He said "I'm a Leicester fan you should try using their site, the feedback we're getting is that Man City's system is better than most of the Premier league clubs". Who the fuck are they getting that feedback from?

Not from me, cos it's shite.

The lad I spoke to accepted it wasn’t up to speed, but blamed it on the users rather than the site.

Just been on the phone to them about Cardiff tickets and they couldn't process my order either online or over the phone. Seems there's a few others in the same situation. Clearly there's a bug in the ticketing system where peoples' points aren't being recognised properly.

As good as things are on the pitch it's fucking amateur hour off the field
I thnk it's seat geek isn't it, to be fair the club would expect a company that big to know what they are doing. It doesnt seem that unusual either, I should know I'm a TSB customer and that transition still doesnt work properly either.

Self praise is no praise at all... As the OP states, it’s not fit for use, certainly no crumb of comfort knowing Leicester’s is worse than shite ..!

Utter crap. It's lost all my friends and family and will not re-add some of them back even though I'm putting in the correct details. A backward step from the old site.

The thing is that systems that you buy off the shelf you can use in two ways. you can use them as they are and accept any imperfections but at least you know they work properly or you can customise them and risk making a complete horlicks of the whole thing. In general, unless there is a really pressing reason to customise a full system, you shouldn't do that and adopt processes that use the system rather than adapting the system to fit your processes.

I don't know for sure but I suspect the Seatgeek system is something we've taken off the shelf and have made some configuration changes to, which reflect our branding, but maybe haven't done much customisation on. The fact we've not been able to migrate Friends & Family certainly reinforces that view.

Probably it's this. The problems seem to be in things we have asked to be bolted onto the ticketing system, stuff like points, and freinds and family. I assume the club would be told by seat geek they could customise without the problems. The testing won't replicate real lfe use but you would expect someone as big and experienced as seat geek to be able to put fixes in pretty quickly. The club should obviously be pushing for these fixes asap but I assume the selling of CL bundles has brought new problems to light as well.

Whichever company they’ve used to balls things up, there is absolutely no excuse for not being able to use a mobile in this day to go through and actually buy the tickets. It worked fine up until 15 days ago. What kind of genius is working on it if they can’t go back to a pay button that actually works.

For several seasons you picked blocks some tickets were at front , some middle, some back.

Now they all seem to be near the back so must be selling all blocks back to front, and less choice.

This isn't the site, it is the people operating the site, unless the software is so shit it can only do back to front or the same for all blocks.

I bought 5 Liverpool tickets online today using my phone. Absolutely no problems at all

Well no, if fact f you go on seat geeks website which I've just done one of the selling points they seem most proud of is their ticketing systems work on mobiles and desktops.
As you say it worked fine a few weeks ago because I used my mobile on holiday to book tickets and choose seats, which to be fair I could never do with the old site on my i phone or ipad.
