“City Matters” fan committee

I voted for PB hoping he'd be elected, now he can left it be known (as he does on here,) how much of a **** he thinks Ferran Soriano is. Looking forward to the feed back from their first meeting.
Going to be Omar Berrada apparently. So I'm safe!

But that is exactly why I wanted to do this as I don't feel the match-going fan is considered to be at the heart of the club's thinking anymore.

If you see Txiki, send him my best.

In seriousness I think Berrada was moved across from marketing to CEO/Operations a little while back and Soriano was given the Ops role in the wider City Football Group so he's a great contact.

He made a good reputation for himself at Barca too. Supposed to be very approachable and "fan-centered". This is actually getting me cautiously excited now. I was under the impression it would be Hegge, Soriano and a bored intern. You guys could do some real good here.

I understand berrada is the COO which puts him squarely as responsible for All support functions including ticketing, IT including the website, Facebook, Twitter etc. And managing outsourced operations like catering and security. The forum couldn’t have a more senior and appropriate rep from the club. They seem to be taking it pretty seriously. One indication will be how often he attends and how often he delegates the meeting.

The ticket system thread on here is a fantastic source of material. Really annoying problems that proper match-going fans are having. I'm going to whinge till they start getting it right.

True, but you need to sift the genuine problems with the system with examples that look like good customer service eg allowing mates to obtain tickets for friends who are on holiday. If you repeat every moan on here you might get a ban lol

right lets start moaning, I would like to know why it takes too long to get into ground with these wands they wave at you, and why is it bad to get served in SS3

I must admit, I was surprised to see so many championing Parker through this process, the only thing I can ever remember him doing other than claiming tickets for his closed shop f mates, is tell the media that "no City fans want Sven Goran Eriksson".

exactly. surely the official supporters club is meant to represent the supporters ??? as i said on most of the major issues you never hear anything from them. why do even have one ? look at groups like the spirit of shankly - the actually stand up for fans. to me looking in it looks as though they get given tickets and posh seats in exchange for doing f all for our fans.

I'm might sound harsh and they probably do other things for the club, but from what I've seen they really dont do much for our fans.

Get on their case about continued annual increases in individual tickets and season tickets too.

There's a reason we haven't expanded yet, and it's because the club has chosen £ over bums on seats. They've shrunk demand.

It's made worse by how huge the TV money is nowadays too, makes the ticket price increases pale into absolute insignificance as far as importance to club turnover goes. It's a slap in the face to the core support.

The OSC has never ever been a campaigning organisation. They organise travle for members .Player of the year awards.Am sure they take up issues for individual members .They have supporters clubs all over the world so someone must agree with what they do

I agree and have said so before a number of times. They'd seemingly rather have 40k paying £50 a ticket than 50k paying £39 a ticket.

If they want people in the ground early then show the earlier game like a lot of clubs do. I don't know if it was down to a cost saving, or just trying to promote the shite on in city square, but it is an obvious improvement to show live footy.

I reckon it is a way to show the club have 'consulted' when they make unpopular changes, and then stitch everyone up with an excuse. The Cityzens guy was never heard of after he was appointed, and with the categories chosen it looks like a very political exercise this time.

Glad to know mate, cheers.

Won't hold my breath mind, not sure how keen the club will be to listen to criticism. Definitely make your feelings heard though. I just hope this isn't another paying lip service type of thing from the club. Had lots of that stuff for a while now.
