They’re mentioned just randomly now at what a shambles they are. In contrast, we are mentioned as the bar to aim for. Roles reversed 100% in every way, shape and form within 10 tiny years. We are now who they were.

He wont "go gentle into that good night"unless the suitcase waiting for him in The Lowery are Crammed to bursting with every last penny he can get from them.

They were Arrogant
They were ‘the United way’
They were wrong.
Good summary of potential scenario which is close to being the actual scenario.Potential scenario
Getting kicked out of CL early, not doing well in EL
Missing out on CL ( and EL) for 19/20
No cup runs
Reduced PL TV games this year
Massive wages bill
Many players into last year of contracts, wanting parity/increases
Massively increased previous transfer payments still owed
Manager sacking payoff
Commercial revenue growth stalled
Match day income further declined
no nvestment in club infrastructure
Dividends still shipped to Virgin/cayman Islands
Leeds/Portsmouth ? Or too big to fail...
Either way, it's funny watching it! Save Our Peg.Not to sure about that, Peg was hardly inundated with offers and his own opinion of himself, may have thought he would never finish outside the top 4 with the rags.
I reckon he has enough support throughout the club's hierarchy to last the season
I think they’re reaching the stage where they can’t afford to not sack him.
Might make a big decent in their growth next year either way.I think you're right.
It'll be cheaper to sack him than miss out on CL qualification, reduced merchandising etc.
Whether a firm decision has already been taken or whether Peg will be given a month more to "turn it round" is not certain.
If I had to guess, a decision has already been made to fire him. But the question of when and his replacement may not be resolved but I'm sure of one thing: When there's every likelihood of the club not finishing in top 4, these decisions will be taken and rapidly.
I see it as a game of Russian roulette. He and the Hierarchy want him to leave but the 1st to blink loses. So both will play their part in this crazy game till one or the other or both are ready to swallow their pride. I`m sure United want a none disclosure agreement but will have to pay for it.
I do love a good drama
Not so much ‘prepared to’ but ‘capable of’. I suspect they don’t have the extraneous means to support such an undertaking. Stadium naming rights will be a consideration for them, and they’ve always got the get out of jail card of disposal, but as things stand I can’t see any rebuilding being funded outside the Ponzi-scheme that is united’s finances (which won’t prove as easy as hitherto).Don't think they will go into liquidation but a major downsizing would occur. I think the big question is how much funding would the Glazers be prepared to sanction in the event of the above scenario. Share prices are already plummeting.
This. But in 5th!I would laugh my man boobs off if zidane came in and got them to finish in 3rd place above the dippers
Yes. In fact the major revenue earner for their franchise has always been MUFC. It's been the cash cow for the enterprise. Not so much ‘prepared to’ but ‘capable of’. 100% agree and long may it continue. Then we can look forward and move on to save our Zizou.Either way, it's funny watching it! Save Our Peg.
I read 26m on some news feed, yesterday.Wonder how much it will cost to sack him & pay him off ?
Must be £20m plus I would think
