De Bruyne injury - Back in Training (p89)

Z
Lovely stuff.

I assume it's just light training and not with the squad.

Apparently it was with the squad... but unsure whether he was fully involved. Shame Anfield will come too soon but by the time the International break is done (which we need to keep him at the club for) he will have missed 8 league games, 2 CL games and a league cup tie. If we can win on Wednesday then we will have him back and be at most 3pts off the top and in a decent position in the CL and still in the league cup. A credit to our squad to have coped without him so well. Hopefully we can still be top of the league and he comes in to give us that added energy amd creativity and extend that lead!

Tuesday and don't rule out a place on the bench at klanfield if he trains fully all week

Get him in for the dippers game, he's better than all their midfield if he plays on one leg and doesn't break out of a jog.

This is a little worrying to be honest.

Last year I suffered the same injury on the LCL. It's a ligament that can let you think it's healed only to go again.

We have the best doctors so must trust in them, but I'd hate to see him rush back only for it to mean he's at 70% all season because he didn't give it a few extra weeks.

But if he's 100%, fantastic.

Its International break after Liverpool so he'll basically have 3 weeks full training with no game.
Burnley at home on the 20th. They are gonna get a fully fit Super Kev ripping them a new one.

We all know Roberto Martinez is already planning on giving him 180 mins

You sound like an 'every silver lining has a cloud' type of guy.

I’m sure whatever the Management and medical staff decide will be the best for KDB. If that means a place on the bench Sunday, joining the Belgium squad or just continuing his rehab Manchester it will all be carefully planned. Whatever, it’s just great news for a Monday, after the WC and our quietish start to the season I think we will be flying by the end of the month.
