Rashford is fucking shite and so is Lingard.
They will end up at some club with an ex rag manager who will pay over the odds for them.
Neither of them would be anywhere near the quality needed to get in our squad, never mind the team.

Nah, take off you blue glasses.
Rashford and Lingard are quality, they are just in a shit team and managed by a nob.

I didn't even know they were playing yesterday till I got in the car to go to our game.

I'd be lying if I said I don't care about their results anymore but I'm definitely less arsed than I used to be. Saturday was a prime example - we were in the Printworks prior to our game and all had a good giggle when West Ham went 2 up but years ago we would literally be bouncing round the pub in that situation. I was a far more intolerable twat to my United-supporting mates when we were dog shit and they were winning everything than I am now. These days I can't even be bothered to wind any of the fuckers up. It's just not a surprise when they lose games and on the pitch they're not particularly relevant to us at the moment because let's face it, there's no chance they're going to be in this title race. In fact, we'll all be hoping they can take points off the dippers.

I agree about Rashford. With the proper coaching and system, he'd shine. With the amount of movement off the ball we have and the amount of chances created, I can't imagine how good he'd be. Same with Martial who's a better talent.

Don't know about Lingard. He's fast but has always had a low football IQ, in my opinion. Lots of wrong decisions.

Lingard has a low IQ full stop.

Wage bill of 36m a year more than us. Holy shit. Can anyone add that to amortized transfer fees for current squad to see the true annual running cost of our two squads. My guess is that puts their true squad costs way above ours.

It’s criminal how infrequently it gets cited as the root of their demise. If someone with serious cash had bought united at the start of the century, the club would be in much better nick right now and that individual would have made a fucking mint. The Glazers are a cancer on that club. They are bleeding it dry.

The Glazers should get honorary knighthoods.

Been thinking about as well as enormously enjoying their situation. It really looks a complete mess from top to bottom. I wouldn't be surprised if the feelers are out as we speak(or take the piss) for a replacement. So when do people think he'll get flirted? I personally hope this carries on for a month or two so they have no choice but to get rid. This would leave them in complete disarray.

No they are not. In fact its the complete fecking opposite. They are overhyped because of where they play.

Rashford looks to be a decent player, but certainly not a top 6 level player. He's not even close to being as good as Martial, but him being English means he's hyped as being great.

Lingard is Jimmy Bullard at best. Literally nothing to his game other than running around a lot.

No other top 4 team would take either of these players. You've literally fell in to believing the Martin Tyler hype shite.

And if you think that's blue tinted glasses, I'd take Martial in a heartbeat if we had room, so make of that what you will.

I’d also argue that Pochettino has taken spurs as far as he can.... make no mistake, regardless of the shenanigans behind the scenes, it’s still one of the most desirable jobs in football. I’m just hoping it’s given to Zidane, that would just extend the agony as he’s far from ready to build them back up!

I agree. Don't want Poch there but they can have Zidane. No ZZ might surprise in the job but the situation at the Swamp is a far cry from managing the squad he had at Real.

Zidane would represent another panic appointment.

Long may the Rags knee jerk approach to trying to catch us continue. A bit more of it and they could be screwed on that front for a decade or more.

I agree with most of that, I don't rate Lingard but you have done him a bit of an injustice there. Still wouldn't want either at City although I think Rashford could develop a lot more here.

Do you actually watch football???
Ffs mate they are fucking wank...not a question of blue glasses it's a case of being able to see what see and not get sucked into the media hype.. I suggest you give it a try...watch from your armchair without the volume on and make your own judgement.

Indeed, but you could say Jimmy Bullard could come out of retirement and develop here. Literally any player coming into our set up would be richer for it.

Martial I do believe would thrive in our system with a manager who isn't a twat.

Pogba definitely would, but he's a left winger that thinks he isn't. My thing with him and this isn't being an arse, but he'd be Delph at left back if he was here under Pep. That's where he'd be fit in, not in the middle and he isn't the type of winger for us.

Even Bailly and Lindelof would be better here.

All of the foreign players I mentioned have undoubted technical talent.

But on Rashford and Lingard, they are unbelievably overrated and it shocks me how some buy into it.

Gary Neville recently said a lot about 100 years of United history backing their managers and them not being a sacking club.... so i thought i would have a look to see if he had done his homework for once. Of course i was not disappointed, hes talking shite again.

The facts are that only Matt Busby and Alex Ferguson have delivered league titles to the red side of Trafford since 1910-11 when (Citys) Ernest Magnall was their manager. Many won nothing at all and had the rug pulled from under them, Van Gaal and Docherty were both sacked after winning the FA Cup.

Not including caretakers, the list of 'backed' managers since Busby resigned in 1969 reads:

Wilf McGuinness
Matt Busby (2nd Stint)
Frank O'Farrell
Tommy Docherty
Dave Sexton
Ron Atkinson
Alex Ferguson
David Moyes
Louis Van Gaal
Jose Mourinho

Read into the 'backing' these guys had and you uncover all sorts of sordid stuff but hey lets move on... If you include Busbys second spell as a new management post, just Ferguson has delivered anywhere near the level of success they think they are entitled.

Before Busby, United had 12 managers. Only one (Magnall) delivered major trophies.

So, is it the manager or the way the club is structured? They always seem to want a dictator, someone who runs the club from top to bottom and the guys who own the club just take the money. Football has changed though and players call the tune now, is that why the club so often gets it wrong with appointing new management? Ive a feeling it dont matter what happens to Mourinho or who is appointed when he finally goes, its doomed to failure (which is success from my point of view).
