Everyone is going on about mbappe being the future ballon do’r Winner! This lad is better than ronaldo was at his age! I just hope he can work hard and continue to progress into the player everyone knows he can be!
Most folk on here go on about Sané winning the Ballon d'Or to be fair.

Also, Cristiano Ronaldo was scoring 42 goals in a season at his age whilst there's no comparison with anyone with regards to O Fenômeno's record at any age. Calm your tits.

A wonderfully talented player but still behind Sterling for me, I can't understand the disparity on here.

Echoing the sentiments of many on here but thought he was outstanding last night. A constant headache for their backline. He's one of our few who don't struggle against Liverpool, has to start at the weekend.

While watching the game and looking at the 22 players it was like there is Sane nd then everybody else (with all respect to our other great talents) he is a real stand out. Different class. My head always puts him under Messi category and he is short of nothing to get up there. (As long as he is WILLING TO)
He is short of ball control, vision, touch and consistency in his passing and shooting.

He has got great speed, athletism, and agility. And in the right condition , this can lead to unstopability. But he is nowhere near the greats. No where.

When he gets Sterling good at what he does, I'll sit up. Until then, he a talented but inconsistent athleye with a lot to work on to be special. A lot.

Sorry, but that is nonsense. His ball control is excellent. Often taking the ball into his rapid stride from behind him.
His touch is very good, often opens him up immediately to attack his man or the space.
Vision, great too. Picks a great ball most of the time, can see other runs in behind & inside. It's little wonder his best link up play is with Silva.
His shooting is powerful and accurate, yet will improve. His consistency for a winger is incredibly high.

He also has very good composure, a good if not excellent work ethic. Solid defensively and knows when to burst into life & chill when there's nothing in the offing.

Like all young players he will gain experience, improve all aspects. He's currently the best out & out winger in the world for me. If he matures as Sterling has, he will unquestionably be the best winger in the World.

Two very different types of player sterling is better inside the box and Sane outside he also has better determination shooting and defensively superior which is why Pep dropped him

Even by your normal standards, that's utter bollocks.

Sterling is a winger, so is Salah, so is Hazard. He is not the best Winger in the world. Not even the best on his team.

Enough with the hyperbole. He miscontrol the ball more often at present than any other winger on the team.

He is the worst passer of all our front players. Both in terms ofTechnique and accuracy.

He's dribble is still loose albeit effective with space. He currently needs space to threaten defenders with his speed to get by them. He isn't great in tight spaces. (Partly due to that loose control).

His work ethic is soso.. sometimes get sometimes not.

Yes he has potential to be great (More Bale, than Messi or Ronaldo) but he is not there yet.

Are you saying his ball control is around Mess's?
His touch is around Messi's? His shooting?

If you are, either you've never watched Messi, or you have some ridiculously deep tinted sky blue glasses on.

Just one of your lines i was replying to,no idea why you have brought the best player in world football, ever, into it.

Feels very harsh. Sane is a risk-taker. He can give the ball away and look careless yes, but he is also capable of mazing runs taking 4 defenders out. Nobody else on the team can do that except perhaps Aguero (and even then not as often). Being a risk-taker means he will make mistakes. But he is also one of the players other top teams fear the most. Ask the Scouser fans. Look at the goal he scored in the league match at Anfield last year. Probably only KDB or Aguero could have matched that. He also is the quickest player in the team (which is saying something when you line up alongside Walker and Sterling). He's obviously not Messi. Not close yet. But he is 22. He won't get to his peak for another 5-6 years. If he keeps his head on his shoulders and works his nuts off, he could easily be a Ballon d'Or contender by that time.

FI,

Seriously! I responded to a comment saying Sane was short of nothing to get up to Messi's level. In responding to that claim, I bolded the portion that elicited my response.

Then you respond to my response,, and said even for my standard that was bullshit. You did this without bolding any portion of my post. This implying my whole post was bullshit.

Now having followed the above, what was I to conclude you were objecting to?

I think Pele, Cruyff and Maradona may have something to say about that ...

Stopped reading at Salah & Hazard being out and out wingers. They're anything but.
