Mid table filth is a no brainer - have them take points off title rivals by all means.

The real question is which of these scenarios you favour:-

Champs City
Runners up Liv/Chel
17th Filth.

Or

Champs Liv/Chel
Runners up City
18th Filth

Being relegated would screw them for 10 to 20years.

That, in my view, is a very difficult choice.
I would have to take a City win, so scenario one for me.
If it had to be number two, I would fervently hope it was Chelsea and not the Dippers. That, together with
'The Filth' as you so eloquently describe them, being relegated, would ease the pain though.

My point is that no one has used those words,so to attempt to turn a debate in a direction that suits is nothing more than a tactic to stir the shit, again.

As Mr Contrary is well aware.

It’s inferred though by virtue of them rather seeing United suffer than City profit.

Firstly for me it is City to win. I wouldn't want the scum to win a bottle of HP in a tombola at a School fair. When they play any of our title rivals then it has to be a draw because that helps City.

No it isn't
Oh it is, incredibly so.

City's interests first above all else, unless you're stupid like you appear to be.

Even if you're stupid enough to have that mindset, which you are, just think how their fans would feel doing us a favour by winning/drawing against someone.

Did you read what I said. I always want the shite to lose regardless of who they are playing.

I did, that's why I wrote that you're stupid.

I couldn't even say you're the "biggest blue" either because you've made it clear you'd cheer on a result even if it was detrimental to City, which is stupid.

I can't stress that enough.

Fuck me it's you that is being dense. City's result is first and foremost and then like all blues I want the shite to lose in every game they play. If you can't understand that then I suggest you seek help as it isn't difficult. As for being the 'biggest blue' I never ever said I was so stop getting so aggy

There is ubdoubtedly pleasure to be had in watching them lose and relegation for them would be great but got to take a City victory every time, even with the league sewn up and a meaningless fixture. Us winning trophies is punishment in itself for the raggy hordes and the bonus of them never being relegated is that we get to taunt them twice a year about their irrelevance.

Best way of summing it up for me is that a City win is like getting your conjugals (although more regular to be fair), the rags lose is like a bonus go at the wrong 'un.

Erm, I'll get me coat.

This is quite easy as most of us never want the rags to win regardless of who they are playing and whether or not it does us a favour.

by that logic you seem to be more emotionally invested in them then you are in City which is just odd - Think your living in the past, like most on here I also spent the 90s and 00s hoping they lost every single game as it was soul crushing seeing them pick up title after title whilst we resembled something out of a monty python sketch - gotta move on and take help where it can come if it means securing back to back PL titles - Bit like PEG did for us in the 13/14 season against the dippers

I probably would if you weren't so stupid but alas.

I have a mixed view on this. Assuming we have a heathly lead over the other contenders, like most of last season, I do want the other non rag top teams to win. Anything that puts them below us I see as a bonus and i take great joy from it. However it all has to start with a City win and also a comfortable lead - the ideal scenario is they are fighting it out with the likes or Arse and Spuds for 5th or 6th where i can look for their results knowing they wont challenge us. Right now it's all too close and their is to far to go to start looking at the teams around / above them (like Wolves LOL).

FFS none of you understand what I said. If you want the shite to win then that's your choice. For me and I suspect many other fans we never ever want them to win - end of. Why can't people get that sentiment.

Because for a lot of us , however unlikely we can envisage a situation where a win for them can do us a favour and maybe even win us a trophy. If the difference between them winning ang finishing 6th instead of 7th but it means we win the league what would you want ? It's the never ever I don't get.
