Gulf Oil Middle East is a UAE company based in Dubai. It is a subsidiary of Gulf Oil International owned by the Indian Hinduja Group. Neither company are anything to do with the original US company of the same name that was taken over by BP and Chevron. Hinduja have a licensing agreement with Chevron to use the Gulf brand.
Rag! :-)

To be fair to them, while I'm always a bit uneasy about the UAE's record, I'd be utterly appalled and aghast too if it was Saudi Arabia buying.

I'd hazard a guess that most, if not all, those complaining about it over there aren't in any way appalled and aghast about the idea and they're just expressing faux outrage because they've slated our owner so much down the years and have to be seen to be consistent, when the reality is that away from prying eyes on the internet they'll no doubt knocking one out over their Giggsy duvets at the possibility of the likes of Mbappe joining them. Out of United's alleged 659 million global fanbase, I bet less than 0.001% of them will renounce their support for the club if a Saudi takeover were to go through.

I can’t see what good investment and a buy out will do for these, or for any club Infact. Call it football snobbery, but when you have what we have, who we have as manager and the players we have, who can top that? It’s like we are at the pinnacle of what’s on offer in the world of football, which must be disheartening for the rest. Say this £850m takeover goes through and a load of money is available, who do they go for? Manager wise I mean. Which players will see them and that manager as a better prospect than us and Pep?

If I was a fan of any other club, any takeover must seem pretty pointless, given what we are doing and with whom.

I’ll add Liverpool to that too. Love or hate him, Klopp is in that elite category of manager. So that’s two they can’t attract straight away, with those two just happening to be managers of their closest rivals. United I mean.
Yep, plus their still bound by ffp so they can still only spunk the same amount of money, just someone else's money.

And with ffp even if you have an owner who is willing to spend 200m net a year they can’t so mega rich owned now days is nice but you can’t go out and spend spend spend.

I am shocked, shocked that the Star would make up a story and other Newspapers repeat it all based on the word of rags talking bollocks.

Unless of course, it's decided FFP is no longer doing what it was intended to do and is immediately scrapped
Or FFP was brought in after we spent big to allow us in the door knowing what we would create, then left there in the knowledge United were on a downfall and no matter who took them over they couldn’t then catch up the new big boys of City. ;-)

I'm sure you're right about that. Nevertheless, some will be.

Yeah, their prospective new owners are a bit further away than the Middle East....

They'll just do what the FC United lot do, pretend to support another club while still watching United on TV and buying shirts.

Don't forgot those that retained their season tickets to sell them on for profit to tourists, that'll show them Glazers!

Like all complete and unashamed hypocrites I doubt that the rag imbeciles would give a flying fuck about the morality of their owners .

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has been charged over comments he made in Portuguese to a television camera after his side's win over Newcastle.

It is claimed Mourinho used "abusive, insulting or improper language" after the 3-2 comeback victory at Old Trafford on 6 October
