He played well , was offside a few times but i watch the goal again and he was not offside If he was the VAR would call , but what matters is that he scored and now he will regain his confidence !

Brings what exactly? Getting caught offside, losing the ball, powderpuff shooting. Time to take the blue blinkers off, hes average at best. Need a better alternative to Kun. Lacks kuns explosive burst( the one that gets you clear when played in) which is what separates the best from the rest.

Que???

Tripe.... up there with Leroy will never succeed because of a questionable ego!

Looks a decent performance, we may go 2 up top v Burnley.

He is starting to take defenders on again, which I feel was missing recently including the world cup. Against Liverpool I thought he showed confidence in his dribbling and almost won a penalty. May be Pep has encouraged him to do so more often.

Was played on the right side yesterday, which mainly involved him chasing players, receiving high balls to his head, or to trap on his chest with defenders running at him, or stood unmarked, in the box, frantically waving his arms whilst Neymar or Coutinho took on five players in a cul de sac or Firminho gave the ball away.

The one and only time Neymar ran at Jesus & passed it, OF COURSE, Jesus immediately played him through.

Horrible fucking team Brazil. Neymar & especially Coutinho, are a greedy disgrace.

Couldn't agree more. The World Cup in Brazil defined Neymar. He was their best offensive player and carried the team but plays like that is his role in every team and game now. PSG would be better without him too. Hogs the ball despite others in better positions and further up the pitch. And the amount of times he takes too many people on and falls down is so frustrating.

In fairness to Neymar his ego is no different to many other players with similar talent in todays age. I'd much rather have Jesus in my side though.

Deserves a start on Tuesday, played great for Brazil during the break and has had impressive cameos recently for us. Aguero was also subpar yesterday.

He looked sharp again when he came on yesterday.

One small thing which I'm probably reading too much into. His reaction to our 4th and 5th goals yesterday in that he didn't celebrate in the slightest, Most of our goals is celebrated by the whole team congregating together. He's probably frustrated with lack of game time or just a shrug of a shoulders in that we have scored another goal.
Just hope him and Mahrez haven't got a frosty relationship after the penalty debacle against Liverpool

Yeah, noticed that too and thought it was a bit odd. His performance was very good when he come on, but he didn’t seem to be enjoying it. Weird one.

As far as I can tell, Pep has Gabriel play a little deeper than Kun, or maybe (which would be unlikely) this is something he naturally do without being instructed to. I get the feeling he has more defensive duties on his shoulders than Kun, which I would understand, and this would also automatically mean he will not gt into the same amount of scoring positions as Kun does.
I hope he is given time, and that he himself has the patience to stick around cause in a no too distant future, I think he will be our front of the line- striker, and I think he will be absolutely brilliant in that role.

The games not over yet but Jesus has been very poor, can’t seem to get a shot on target and has had little to no link up play! He’s not been the same player since the WC I hope he can find some decent form again soon

Just before he was subbed he got behind their back four but turned right around and passed the ball back, the lad has no confidence at all - he could easily have taken on a shot or a cross instead.

Can’t agree with some of the negativity here. Thought his link up play and tenacity tonight were both excellent. Only downside was his finishing, rushed and lacking confidence. Wasn’t alone though. Between them Jesus, Mahrez and Sterling should have scored 4 goals and could have scored 10. Badly, badly needs to score with a composed finish

He looks a lot stronger and he has developed a real knack for everything tackles. His movement off the ball continues to excel. Sloppy finishing though. Needs to sharpen up in that sense.

Plays like a 21 year old would. Occasionally brilliant, occasionally naive. Occasionally ingenious, occasionally nervous. Then again he is 21.

I don't know what game you were watching but his link up play was fantastic all night.

I thought he was quite effective in keeping their back line more than occupied. His finishing was just a little unlucky. He's suffering the same thing Riyad did - the harder he tries the worse it looks. He's gonna do nothing but improve long term with Pep and co!
