Alison can suck Eds balls.
Edersons distibution is 50% better than Alisons.

In the modern distribution accounts for game it accounts for 40% of a keepers value. Critically so for teams at the very top level.

The Checs and hart type keepers days are numbered.

Thus Alison maybe 5% better in other departments ( this is being generous )
This leaves Eddy atleast 20% better player than Alison.
I'm not going to pretend to understand your logic nor how you derived your percentages but I would say a keepers value is dependant on style of play.

Ederson is the best keeper for a team with our style of play and our team philosophy. Is he the best option for teams that differ from us strategically? I don't think so which makes him difficult to gauge when it comes to top GK rankings and his play for Brazil. I'm glad we have him and that he'll be here for a while.

So according to Blue Wang, keeper value=0.4*distribution + 0.6*non-distribution

So if I've got it right,
Ederson=0.4*1.5*Allison+0.6*0.95*Allison
Ederson=0.6*A+0.59*A
Which makes Ederson just a 19% better keeper than Allison the Blue Wang Scale.

Isn't it wonderful that we can put these argument to bed with a nice formula ;)

There we have it.

Moving on swiftly.

Nothing quite like a good formula.

Just so.

For our system, I wouldn't trade Ederson for anyone.

Reading the papers today and his pinpoint kicks to set up goals is described as route one football,the media have no understanding about his role and how he plays,they understand the dipper keeper alright even though he is not a patch on eddie

Ha ha City route 1 team!

As a rare doubter as to how Ederson is, I have to say after last nights save from Kane that involved going down 100% committed where a boot or Knee in the chops is quite possible my misgivings have begun to subside.

They equate it to hoof it up to fellani lol,they don't want to understand,they prefer a fat sam type of english team,it's time they reallised football has moved on and embrace what pep is doing rather than this stupid narrative they have going on,on sky last night they put up stats this season v last season and how we have reduced the shots we let through etc then ratboy says john and eric haven't gelled and can be got at,embarrassing to follow a script with the figures literally right in front of them lol

Doesn't bother me one bit if people want to describe his long balls at route one. That's how I've been describing it for want of a better phrase. Route one football is only a problem in my eyes when it's being used as a cop out by managers who aren't able to get their teams playing football. I think it's great to watch when you have a goalkeeper with the vision and accuracy to turn defence into attack in the space of a second. Having that in our armoury when we can also pass teams to death makes it impossible to shut us down.

Route one can be good or bad depending on how it's used. Same goes for possession football, some teams do it brilliantly and some teams play it in such a boring way it's almost unwatchable. We get the best of both worlds and Ederson is absolutely perfect for the job.
