Looking at the size of Shaw and Lukaku yesterday, you can't help but think that Mr Whippy is making a fortune at their Carrington training ground.

If they want to compete with us? £400m.

A world class striker will be £100m minimum.
A couple of world class midfielders another £100m+.
A winger will be 40+ if they go for someone young with promise like we did with Sané, 60+ if they go for instant impact like Mahrez.
2 fullbacks even if they don't spend like we did is going to be £60m minimum and 2 great CBs probably 80-100m.

Total cost £400-500m gross.

But, but, but - they already bought a world class striker for nearly £100m, they already bought a world class midfielder for nearly £100m, they got a £60m winger for half that with that swap....and they have Phil Jones.

They need 2 new centre backs a right back because seems the young right back they bought has Mourinho doesn’t rate and another top striker that will cost them at least 300m can they afford that plus wages I’d say no unless they sell

Regards selling, they’re where we were under Hughes, a load of supposedly elite players on a ego driven biggest club in the World salary. Who the fuck is going to take the likes of Smalling, Matic, Fellaini, Fred, Sanchez, Lumpy off their hands?

They’ll mainly be releasing players on frees or stuck loaning to Italy on 50% wages.

We struggled to offload England’s number 1 in a league with very few good keepers. Dzeko was practically given away.
It’s not easy to unload good players, let alone the shite they’ve accumulated.

Pogba, De Gea, Martial and Rashford are the only players they’re likely to shift easily.
And they’re the only players worth keeping.

They even appear to have lost the ability to milk the market for their unwanted youth players.

With Alladyce, Bruce et al out of work, no one is buying their shit.

Fair use quote:

"The absence of Paul Pogba through injury meant Fellaini was in his starting line-up, a state of affairs that also showed Mourinho’s lack of faith in his £50m summer signing Fred. The 25-year-old Brazilian is understood to be thoroughly disillusioned with the lack of faith shown in him by his manager and has apparently been confiding in his crosstown friend and compatriot Fernandinho about his unhappiness with life at Old Trafford."

Excellent work 'dinho!

Rags clutching at straws especially the overhyped shite re DeGea. Might be a better stop stopper than Ed but nowhere near him in relation to playing out from the back. De Gea would never ever get in a Pep side.

In the pub last night, the chat was about who’d get in our side from theirs, and how few there were.

I was talking to two of the more balanced, I said I’d take Bravo over De Gea, one was dumbfounded, the other worryingly understood.
He could see that we defend by keeping the ball and De Gea chopping it on to midfield would be damaging to us.

Then when I said to the dumbfounded one, you need to judge De Gea on his Spanish form, how poor he was for Spain. He then actually started to get it.

De Gea is very good at reactionary saves, he’s piss poor at everything else.

The turning point - ironically - was their win against us last year.

The wild celebrations and the "Manchester is red" jibes from their players following the match was the final confirmation that City are now the overwhelmingly dominant force. To celebrate delaying City winning the title by a few days said everything.

To be fair Mourinho was pretty low key afterwards - he knew what the significance of celebrating in that way represented.

Hope Ferna has firmly put him in his place for chosing to go to that shithole... no sympathy for him or Sanchez.

This is an urgent appeal for you to check on your Manchester United supporting neighbour... Many reds have not been seen during the past 24 hours... Phone calls have gone unanswered and their social media accounts silent....
Please be a good Samaritan and check that your red neighbour is OK....
.
Watched it in a student bar with my daughter. It was rammed with Rags, but a nice pocket of City fans, including a family with young kids. There was a fair bit of banter, but all light hearted.

Most Rage spent the game just muttering at how easy it was for us, and how they were getting nothing from the game. When we got the second, they went quiet up until they got the pen. By the time we got the third, most of them had gone, and by the final whistle there were only City fans left.

I can just imagine that chat now.

Fred asking why Fernandinho has stayed so long and keeps saying it crap. Don’t worry Fred, the winters not even come yet.
Unlike in the Ukraine you don’t get to go back to Brazil for a few months.
You get to play every three days.

I imagine Fred hates speaking to Fernandinho and hearing how ace it could have been..

Worth a click for the opening sentence :)

I think the turning point was Pep’s first derby at the swamp.
We passed them off the park. Their fans starting jeering every time Bravo went long.
It reminded me of FA Cup games where fans of lower league teams go bullshit aaahhhh on goal kicks.

Their victories were us not taking the piss, well yesterday we thoroughly took the piss.

It's nice to have so many games for us to choose from!

Fuck em.

Will re Mourinho still be in charge by the time we return Mid March?

Worst Utd side in last 40 years, most monies spent, and he's still there.

They are now just everton , an average side with a sprinkling of ok players but lots of dross been there for years. very physical side looking to finish between 4th and 8th each season.
