Everton (H) Post Match Thread

How shite is Pickford. If he wasn't English he'd be getting slaughtered. His distribution makes Hart look like Ederson. Makes easy saves look world class. He fucking loves to flick his legs in the air at every opportunity to make a bread and butter save appear more difficult. Did I mention his God awful distribution?

Like your goodself, always delighted when we win...only criticisms I have are related to the last 20 minutes

It was one of those games today mate. Quick turnaround for the lads, early kick off, fucking baltic and changes and tiredness all played a part.

Everton are no mugs and always turn up for the game against us so to win 3-1 i will take all day long with no injuries and Kev back along with Kun and Ferny.

This time of year its about 3 points, not champagne football.

Bit worrying that we’re conceding really easy chances for the opposition, glad that richarlison didn’t have his shooting boots on today. Nice to see Jesus get two he looked really sharp today! Think he needs a run of games to get back to his best which he may not get now that Kun is fit again.

Yeah if both teams had there shooting boots on we would of won 13-9

comfortable despite some unnecessary hairy moments

pleased for gabby who made first class movements all game and deservedly man of the match

Stemming from a midfield being sloppy in possession but games are thick and fast, we have so many changes and injuries and shit happens.

We will be fine.

Jesus blue are we the only two on this forum that thought it was professional performance of the highest order all things considered.

I thought I was the doomsayer on here once , I clearly have been overtaken.

Freezing today, I've never seen so many empty seats at HT, most were hiding from the weather on the concourse. Fortunately our players didn't go hiding. A fair result although Pickford kept the score down with 2 excellent saves first half..

Particularly pleased Jesus scored a couple, he needed those goals to boost his confidence. Really good to see De Bruyne on the pitch, no need to flog him to death, maybe half a game v Leicester to help get his match fitness back.

Our first goal came from there mistake from our pressing. Think Everton kept the ball very well in there 3rd of the pitch they have some very good players and why for me they should if beat the scousers who were very lucky to win the game against Everton. Anyway some fans opinions always differ its how you want to look at a game, either you watch and notice all the positives from players in a game or you watch it and pick up on all the faults on players.

So the scousers should have beat the scousers ?

Nearly got it right earlier today saying that Jesus would probably bang in a hat-trick knowing kun was ready on the bench....i actually put brace at first then changed it lol

Great win today Blues...onwards and upwards. Now lets see if our swamp neighbours can do us a favour for once tomorrow

Yes indeed....I was probably a bit harsh in my first post.....first home win v Everton since 2014 apparently

Great result! So happy for gab he deserved that, he was great today. Everton must have one of the worst set of fans in the prem, to sell it out and not make a sound other than a couple of Everton chants. Anyone know what happened to the Everton fan in the bottom tier? Alot around him seemed concerned but never saw anyone leave.

Good win as I thought it would be difficult. Delighted for Gabby. Fernandinho was outstanding. Great to see KDB and Sergio back. Pressure back on Liverpool who have 24hrs to mull over the fact they have to win.

Superb victory and 3 points against a good side with some excellent players who are our bogey side.

Ferny superb but Gabby outstanding.

His work rate is unbelievable, his technique top notch and he knows how to finish despite what some of the experts on here might think, his stats prove that.

Only downer for me today was Walker whose form isn't great right now and Mahrez who needs to understand we play at a much higher tempo and he has to get with it.

His critics on here have been nothing but a joke. He’s been playing well in the games he hasn’t been scoring in, and you get the usual dickheads claiming he’s not at the level to play for City.

Kept a close watch on Gundogon today. Thought his positional play was outstanding. He must have made at least 4 interceptions, one of them vital for the first goal.

He sometimes passes backwards when he could turn forward with the ball. He's not close to David Silva or KDB in that respect.

I think he's due a few games rotating with Fernandinho in the holding role. They have their different qualities but can be equally effective.

Behind Gabby as MOTM for me he was very good.

Thought we put in a great performance today without 4 world class players. Our closing down and getting the call back quickly was incredible. Everton just couldn’t get any passing going. Yes we had s couple of lapses but no one could deny we were much the better team today. Well City another tricky fixture dealt with and now for once I’m hoping the rags will do us a favour.

Agree with all this.

Bang on. Yet laughably some balloon on here said our pressing had gone to shit.
