I remember when Leicester won it ... so many cringeworthy comments on here ref luck,drug-taking etc.
We are not very good at handing out "well dones" to other winners and as you say we should handle it with dignity.

I’ve changed my tune lads. I think Liverpool should be awarded 3 unwarranted penalties in their next game.

If Liverpool win it then I will congratulate them but I expect a level playing field from the officials. Oliver looked terrified throughout the game and he couldn’t do himself justice in those circumstances.

Is Mane’s choke hold being run on a loop by Sky? How can that be glossed over. Funny how Oliver now gives penalties so easily, wonder why? Is football fixed? You bet it is. Don’t be surprised if Slippy wins the league in Scotland, nice double for someone on the 30th anniversary.
Exactly mate. They're getting let off with everything. Guaranteed if that was one of our players they'd have been sent off before a replay.

We're in desperate need of a new defence.

Murphy would of been delighted to see a City player sent off for what Mane did,tut tutting shaking his head you just cant do that,as soon as you raise your hands, blah blah, boo hoo, just setting things up for more shiet decisions, bloke needs binning off hes a joke now

So you think that the first penalty was unwarranted.Had it been Sergio and it NOT been given, what would your response have been ? Stone-waller all day ... but not the second one.

I don't think it's about handling "well dones" to other winners. It's about not wanting to have to do it to Liverpool FC and its self righteous, sanctimonious fans.

Any other club's fans would say "Thank you" to a "Well done" from other club's fans but. Dippers fans would respond with a torrent of self congratulation and taunts of how every other team who has won the league instead of them didn't deserve it as Liverpool is the title's true home.

Pricks.

I think you are right oakiecokie about the first being a genuine pen but it was soft because Salah was waiting for the contact and made no effort to play at the ball in front of him. Sergio against Monaco was a much more clear cut penalty shout and he got booked.

The only stonewaller I saw mate was Arsenal’s penalty shout bear the end of the game.

It will be interesting to see if Oliver is dropped down to the Championship for a couple of games. Somehow I don’t see that happening.

I saw the refs performance difference mate. I was laughing that a free kick or penalty was awarded every time Arsenal made a challenge.

Liverpool are playing much better than us and I have no qualms about that. Also, great credit goes to the performances of Palace, Leicester and Chelsea against us. My main problem with last night is for the humiliation the Arsenal fans faced when the score should have been closer (even given Arsenal’s shambolic defence) Like many on here, I go to the majority of away games and it isn’t much fun returning home on the end of a thrashing, even though most have had a good few beers by that stage.

Yes, but the rags got decisions like that on a weekly basis, especially the season we won it under Mancini.

That was imo the most suspicious reffing I've ever seen in football anywhere, we should have won that title by about 15 points.

Liverpool have arguably had even more than them over the years.

We were getting cheated by them when I was a small child.

I have serious concerns about Salad - I am convinced that poor chap has a serious medical condition- he has major instability and falls over very often - he ought to get checked out as I suspect some sort vascular defect in his brain- that's is not normal-
falling over regularly is something to be very concerned about and taking part in strenuous exercise such as professional foot ball should not be permitted as this could be life threatening -
do keep going Salad on that basis please- fall as often as you like as at least the referees are taking good care of you.

Chelsea have just wasted a whole half before scoring at Palace, when they should instead have just told Hazard to keep chucking himself over in the box until he got one.

I bet you`d have been one of the first to complain had it been Sergio and not had that first penalty.Stone-waller all day FFS.The soft fucker had two attempts to bring him down.

We do see it a lot with Sergio, Jesus, Sterling though don't we ?

Most of the time they just get on with the game. When they do go down, the 'experts say' "nah not for me" after the ref inevitably fails to give it.

If we start getting those now, & pens for minor pushing/holding we'll probably win the lot.

"Not that I condone it btw"
sounds a bit like - I am not biased against xyz "but"

The reason City fans were shocked after the game by the "welcome" wa not because we were defeated - we are not professional victims like you - but the extent of the attack, sorry "welcome", and the brazenness / lack of police protection became apparent.

I don't do anything even close to the high pressure job such as playing a CL quarter final.
But if I was attacked on the way to office by a mob throwing hundreds of Missiles at me, I would be pretty subpar that day I suspect.

Of course the multiple critical referee decisions in Liverpool's favour helped as well.

First of all are you posting from Ireland, London or Scandinavia?

Secondly, when we post we post as individuals.
If one poster said “ederson has been held at gunpoint in Brazil”, and another said “it had a massive impact on the players”, that means two different posters are posting differing views on the coach attack. There are 1000’s of posters on here - we don’t all speak as one humongous mass.

Thirdly, why have you chosen today to join and post? You could’ve joined and posted in May 2014, or perhaps February 2016? A bit sad for you to only have the minerals to do it today.

Lastly, if you blow winning the league will you return?

When I say I don't condone it, that was the wrong word and you are correct. It should not have happened and I would be pissed off if city did that to us. Its barbaric.

Yeah OK intimidate with flares and noise but not smash a bus up.

I live about 30 minutes from anfield, so not a local but not that far.

I really can't believe how this title race has gone over the past 10 days or 2 weeks. But I'm expecting city to hit us like you did in the CL 2nd leg.

Even if we win I still think it could all change.

Ive seen worse.......Refs were badly sucked in by those rag bastards

Mike Riley - United v Arsenal 2004. The game where Arsenal’s 49 game unbeaten league record came to an end. That was the most bent refereeing performance in the history of the Premier League IMO. We’ve had some shockers in our games down the years but that was on another level altogether.

Trouble is if we start pointing out that Liverpool seem to be getting lots of soft pens and players getting away with grapping opponents by the throat. When last season our players were being kicked of the park etc. We will to seen as poor losers.
I am not a sore loser but like to point out a few points, like should we close the gap Liverpool can always start attacking the away team bus to gain an advantage......ooopppssss that's me being bitter lol

We have to recognise that we are not darlings of the media or the game -as such we do not benefit from match Officials, the FA,Eufa etc being 'pressurised' by TV pundits, managers whose name begins with 'Sir' to give any dubious decisions in to a 'media darling' , its not corrupt, its not bribery its just undue influence built up in and by the media who over decades have a hierachy of who they favour and breaking news it ain't us.

We won’t.

We haven’t for the last few years, so why should things change now?

I’d recommend anyone who hasn’t seen this to watch it on YouTube. It’s very hard to argue against bent refereeing when you watch it.
