Target Mane, it won't take much for the little shit to lose control as per the Arse game. Dhino and Mane had some fiery exchanges in the game at Anfield, expect the same on Thursday and it is imperative we don't give Taylor any opportunity to send off any of our players

Unfortunately, the ref will develop a temporary corneal dysfunction when Mane grabs one or more of our players around the neck.

I’m interested to see the whole team but think who Pep chooses as the wide men will be a big sign of who he really trusts.

Given we are going to have a makeshift left back then Sterling is the obvious choice on the right as he is a more reliable tracker back....and if so I hope he goes for Bernie on the left as he’s so much more energetic than Mahrez.

But....Sane could work havoc down the left working in tandem with Dave, allowing Sterling to go right. The Sane/Sterling combo is IMO our best one but does Pep trust Sane enough??

Mahrez almost never plays on the left. The choice is between Sane (left)/Sterling (right) and Sterling (left)/Mahrez (right). Doubt we will see Bernardo on the wing. He either is on the bench or starts in the centre if KDB doesnt make it.

Sane / raz for me,need to keep their fullbacks busy, raz has the home crowd behind him so he'll be fine,i'll be disappointed if thats not how we start,if kev doesn't make it the dinho and twins in the middle

Hoping for the best but isn’t it sad when at the start of January we still can’t field our best side.

Sterling is much more effective on the right Pep shouldn't even comtemplate putting him on the left for a game this big.

Yes but this might work in our favour

For once we could get to march and Salah, VVD, Robertson will have 30 games in their legs and KDB will be fresh

Hope so. Don’t want the league season to fizzle out so soon

We went to Anfield with a weakened team and LFC hardly had a kick.

We will dominate possession again and LFC will look to hit us on the counter but I think City may play with an element of caution. Whatever the media hysteria about the game, I think both sides priority will be not to lose. It's not really comparable to that CIty v Utd game when KOmpany scored the header at the South Stand end. There's time for many swings and roundabouts yet

Well it might if we lose as psychologically that will be difficult to recover from. Obviously we play to win but we know that a draw leaves us 4/5 months to recover 7 points in what will be a daunting fixture schedule for both clubs.

Otamendi is too rash at times, and Kompany (much as I love him) is getting too slow these days. If these two play there will be a penalty and a sending off.
We've only Pool once in the last four years and that was against ten men, but we can always hope.
I assume that is supposed to say beaten. If so, are you sure

Sounds more impressive than it actually is given they have conceded 2+ goals in Cup competitions seven times since then.
True. The cup games you're referring to were against Real Madrid, PSG, Roma Chelsea etc. We concede against Newcastle Southampton, Bournemouth etc... The point I'm trying to make is that their defense is a lot tighter than ours in the PL. 6 clean sheets in the last 10 games vs only 1 for us.

This is a big game for us blues, so we need to get behind the team from the off. We also have to make the atmosphere inside the ground hostile to Liverpool. By this I mean every time that they touch the ball we have to boo them, like they did to our players in the game at Anfield. However I propose to go one step further and every time they commit a foul against one of our players we have got to be shouting for the ref to send him off. Keep on doing this because if we keep this up hopefully the pressure will begin to tell on the ref.

So let's get behind the team from the kick off. Also if there are any Liverpool supporters where they shouldn't be make sure they keep quite or have them thrown out of the ground as they should not be there in the first place.

Im sure there are more mature ways of getting behind the team

We will not get away with playing Zinchenko up against Salah , and Walker is making to many basic errors in his game , Danilo , Stones , Otto , Laporte should be the back four , Vinny has lost a yard and could get found out by the Dippers flying , diving forwards. If KDB is fit a midfield including Melrin , Dinho & KDB all coming back from injury will be a necessary risk ,, we just need to take our chances when they come along instead of squandering them like some recent games. Not sure the Dippers will come with a gung-ho approach , they didnt in the 0-0 at Klanfield , and they will be happy taking a point.

We will have to be flexible because Klopp has been playing Salha down the middle in some games. He will play wherever they think our weaknesses are.

Sergio Aguero has scored in all 6 home league appearances against Liverpool, the best 100% rate of home matches scored in by a player against any opponent in Premier League history.
Has to start.
