Could do with them beating Bayern. Want them to progress to semis of the CL and then get knocked out ...the more games they have, the harder it will be for them

I really disagree with this. Liverpool run on emotion. If they fall a few points behind, a couple of big european victories against someone like Bayern will reinvigorate them. If they fall a few points behind and get knocked out of the CL, everything will start to crumble.

Let this sink in:

We just beat Liverpool, the best team the universe has ever seen, without King Kev.
I thought Manchester city were the best team in the history of the premier league?
Liverpool struggled to get 4th last season and are only a bunch of dippers according to a lot on here.

Given the fucking antics we've watched from opposition goalkeepers over the years, but particularly over the last few seasons, was there any City fan who failed to see the buzarre irony in Ederson being booked for time-wasting last night?

We’ve seen opposition keepers waste time from the off and do what Ederson did last night upto 10 times before they get booked. Ederson does it once! Then again Taylor is a ****.

To be fair, he Twatted the ball away twice and wasted nearly a minute that wasn't even added back on. A fully deserved Yellow card and excellent game management.

That was one epic battle, such a contrast with what " normal service" has been at the Etihad for quite a while.
Even the rare bad result had not shaken the idea that we are superior, in technique, tactics and talent. Last night, any doubts about charscter, courage and sheer guts were buried . Cometh the hour an' all that.
If pushed, I would say that the most pleasing part, that we could have crumbled, the crowd could have lost it's intensity. And we didn't. Those who were there will never forget it, it's pretty safe to say.....

I want them to get twatted in every game they play, but I agree that they will falter if they can't get their momentum back quickly .

He did well though. When VVD headed it out for a goal kick I turned to my young lad and said the kick won’t get taken before 93.30 (which would have been nice and slow) Eddie managed through to 93.48 which was a special effort. Worth a booking to wind up the Dippers

I can feel your pain, it fucking lovely. Haven't you got a petition to sign victim boy?
I expected us to lose, after all we got spanked there last season. The best team won last night in my opinion, a little bit of luck but no less than you deserved.
I think I now know why Klopp doesn’t do brilliantly in finals, when he sets up not to lose, his teams lack what they’ve made a name for themselves for. It’s going to be interesting to see how this affects us in the next few games, and reading these comments I’d say most city fans consider themselves back on top (which they might be come February)

Absolutely deserved on the night, but having watched opposition goalkeepers take 25/35 seconds to take every goal kick from the first minute, kicking each post, stopping for a quick drink, phoning their mum, scratching their arse and all without punishment then, in my opinion, it's a tad ironic that the keeper, who I'd guess delivers the ball quicker than any other in the league, gets punished on his first offence.

Probably a blessing for you that it’s FA Cup weekend rather than straight back into league action, but like you say it’ll be interesting to see how last night affects both teams in the coming weeks. Obviously it’ll all be in vain for us if we were to drop points against Wolves at home! We need to kick off from this and go on a proper run now.
