The appropriate response is surely to point out that Mane almost taking Eddie's head off was far worse than Vinny's tackle, and every Red Dipper seemed to think his red card was harsh, so a red for Vinny would have been even harsher.

FWIW, I think it probably was a yellow, but Vinny's tackle could be the subject of a reasonable debate with anyone other than a member of the Dipper Cult.

Yep. I agree mate. Outmuscled by raheem more than once, couldn’t get near Aguero either. Some of his clearances were woeful. When he grows up he hopes he’s as good as VK. That’s a VK last night at the end of his career ravaged by injury. In his prime there literally is no contest.

The important bit is that some did not even think it was a foul in the first place which is was ridiculous. Most will accept it was a foul against which the ref was well within his rights to issue a red. If you dont agree, thats fine, but to not even think it was a foul is simply blue tinted specs at its finest.

You and everyone on here knows that had we been on the receiving end of such a tackle, then there wouldn't be any saying "oh, it was a yellow at worst, if indeed a foul"
