She wasn't the democrats choice to go into the elections, she challenged Joe Crowley for the right to stand in the election and was backed by donations not big money, she won the primary on her agenda and so the democratic nomination, they cannot just remove her if she doesn't fall in line, the people she represents chose her, and she isn't going anywhere for now.


Also may, as leader of a nation, leading us into chaos and where people are dying on the streets doing some dance on a foreign visit to try and cement trade and then mocking herself at confrrence people raising an eyebrow to her antics as she embarassed herself is a lot different to some GOP journo leaking a college video to try and embarass a new young congresswoman.

AOC shrugged off and laughed at the atempt and tbf to May so did she, but the situations and context have nowt to do with each other

Don't be naive mate, if she opens her mouth too much they will make sure she amounts to nothing, her platform will be removed and she'll be marked down as another gobshite. Carefully placed identity politics she ticks all the boxes until she gets uppity, the Dems will politically gut her.
 
Looking at the people on here that don't like her, I would say she's probably doing something right.

It's hardly radical wanting free healthcare, affordable education and supporting initiatives to combat climate change but in some people's opinion that's tantamount to Marxist-Leninist communism. It's ironic that her biggest detractors in the US don't mind having a President that is doing the bidding of the leader of Lenin's country.

She’s not asked for anything that isn’t free in this country right now.

She also said exactly how she’d pay for it, by taking money away from military spending, amongst other things.

All she really is is another level of identity politics, it doesn't even matter that she's a socialist whose got the biggest money tree ever. Her support of Linda Sarsour who IMO is a domestic terrorist supporter shows where her head is.

What has she said that makes you think that she’s engaging in identity politics?

Everything I’ve heard is economic policy moving towards something closer to the best bits we have here.

The 70% wealth tax is on people earning over £10m a year, in a country with huge problems with so many problems with poverty and where the top 1% have more wealth than the bottom 60%.

Time to mix things up. The old world is being left behind.

She bangs on about minorities all the time, she bangs on about being a woman, she's also taken on the role of cheerleading for Sarsour, this isn't just about politics it's about making a noise.
I remember watching some woman from the Democratic party say that the Democrats should only ever have a black Chairperson, at that time I thought American politics is too strange even to take seriously.
