I'm all for a bit of banter with the away fans but they were pathetic last night. We do need to up our game but I think I would rather stand in silence than follow their lead.

I sit in family stand and a few of us try and get the singing going but even the kids won’t sing!
I’m 57 and have sung myself hoarse since 73.
The fans in south stand need to seriously shape up. How you be so fkin quiet is beyond me. Why people bother going in there if they can’t be arsed singing is also beyond me. Stop singing songs so fkin fast for a start. It needs some mad fat bastard without a shirt on at the front to lead you. Don’t be so hip to say that it’s orchestrsted and contrived, we don’t give a fuck. And when you do get something going all those other static miserable bores around the ground , join-in for god sake, You never know you must just enjoy yourselves!

As a one off song it’s alright, but there are times this season where we’ve gone 1 -0 up and it’s the first song the south stand start singing. Which is bizarre. It’s The same group of people in the south stand that are trying to get this song going. Knowing most of the ground don’t join in with it.

Sing more about Dzeko then songs hey Jude, we love you city... songs people actually like and join in with. Why the obsession withDzeko ? We didn’t even sing about when he played for us
 
Let’s face the facts been discussed before were a 40,000 hard core fan base without the plastics. Some would say there’s no empty seats even if they were the only ones in the stadium. Does it really matter if there’s 50.000 or 80.000 don’t bother me one bit

Fact is. We were immense against Liverpool and very poor against wolves. We do need to up our game every game is a cup final now and we will struggle in some games and need the backing that we gave them in the Liverpool game. I'm all for a fat bloke at the front.. shirt off guiding and conducting. Any volunteers?
 
The way Liverpool hated the boo's perhaps other teams should adopt it, watching the Brighton game the crowd went quiet when dippers had the ball and I remember thinking " if only they would boo them"
No doubt the crowd booing threw them when we played them, perhaps it might catch on when they play away.
 
It appears to have become a national sport to belittle our home support , nearly every media outlet are making comments about our crap atmosphere and empty seats , whilst they ignore other clubs who are every bit as guilty of a shitty home atmosphere,including the Dippers who atmosphere at Klanfield is absoultely shite for 95 % of their home games (and that's after talking to a Dipper season ticket holder )Its a sign of the media's desperation that they have to highlight this issue , its obviously a deflection tactic so they can ignore our recent 21 goals haul in just four home games ,if we beat the Dippers to the title there is gonna be at least a month of mourning and a petition for "Justice for Klippety"
 
If City do still have the highest number of season card holders, renewing for 25 years or more in the PL, as has been reported quite recently I believe. The idea that City would be any worse off than Liverpool or United without their own "plastics", cannot have any basis in fact.

People pick and choose what "hardcore" and "plastic" means, to suit their own agendas is the problem. Some blues are all too passive, when rags and dippers tell them what to think in my opinion.

What we must remember is most media writers have grown up during the barren years, City have a generation that never cared who we were, my lad at 23 is still unique in his crowd of mates because he loves city, he picked the bug off me a glory hunter circa 69/70.
Kids pick their team in the school yard and today we are still in the early years of this generation, kids of 10/11 years old in 2012 are still reliant on parents as they are still young lads with limited cash.
In 10 years time these same kids will be die hard city fans who will infiltrate the media and will snipe at others as they are doing to us now.
Old timers keep them seats warm there's a generation of blues just starting to blossom, we have left the press with nothing but our crowd and academy (another misconception) to poke holes in.
The noise will come.
