18 - 25 year olds only?Just watching the Newport v Boro replay on BT, Middlesbrough only got 960 tickets and returned 500 of them, if Newport get through how will City work this one if theres only 960 tickets available?

Seems to be working tomorrow, everyone who had a seasoncard could buy a ticket.i haven't read the thread properly, but it is good to hear something is potentially being done to change the away ticket system. it doesnt work as it is now. its near impossible to actually catch up on points now. you could go to swansea away/ less glamorous sides for the next ten years and i still don't think many would catch up- that shouldnt be the only way to attend games properly either. for younger fans who want to go to aways - how on earth do they stand a chance of getting tickets properly ? most of my mates go through getting tickets off others.
id keep some back for 18-25 year olds, reserve say 75-80%% for season ticket holders with points and then have another general ballot section for everyone. scrap platinum and the corporate allocation ( not going to happen)
How odd eh??Seems to be working tomorrow, everyone who had a seasoncard could buy a ticket.
Same last week in Newcastle as well.
System’s broken mateHow odd eh??
100% pal, How unfairSystem’s broken mate
Of course Everton is one of those really hard to get to distant places they go on about
Point being you wont get 20% take up on such an offeringJust a thought but if we are going to offer away tickets as part of the corporate experience why don't we make it the full experience instead of offering tickets that you can do what the fuck you want with. If you must offer an away ticket to corporates then make that part of a full on corporate awayday. You're less likely to be able to tout the full experience than you are a single ticket
Booked Newport trains via Brum good price back easy tooI’m entertained by the odd comment in the last couple of pages. Maybe bemused is more appropriate.
Newcastle, Everton and Wembley (probably)
go to Cityzen’s and we’ve already got people bitching that they won’t get a ticket in the away end in Newport’s tiny ground.
That could explain why they stopped inviting me. It was offered to 1,000 but only about 50 took up the offer in the first season.Superbia has been closed for about four years I believe
Because the team was crap yet we still dragged all over the country watching them. Why ahould you get credit for games you attended 15 years ago?
I got offered it a couple of times but was working full time and couldn’t go to any away games in Europe and the odd mid week game here so I turned it down. That could explain why they stopped inviting me. It was offered to 1,000 but only about 50 took up the offer in the first season.
It's a good question.
I have said before on here that our current ticketing process has developed from a set of piecemeal initiatives put in place a long time ago when the landscape has changed and maybe renders some of those not fit for purpose in that changed landscape. We should look at the whole thing afresh and decide what's a more suitable and flexible process for where we are now and are likely to be in the foreseeable future.
Personally I'm not against the principle of a group of ordinary fans having access to tickets that their points might not qualify them for. If we stopped the SC allocation and put 500 tickets into a ballot like we're planning to do for the 18-25 year olds, that would do the same job but I think might be more acceptable as it's open to all and less prone to potential abuses. That's just me thinking aloud though and certainly doesn't reflect any discussions we've had in City Matters.

My post was in response to someone saying they couldn’t get to an occasional game. The main point being made is that it’s completely irrelevant if a fan goes to your Newcastle’s, Watford’s, spurs and Everton’s away midweek. That fan could do that for the next 10 seasons and still have absolutely no chance of getting a ticket for Bournemouth, Newport, manure or Liverpool away.
When I 1st started away games it would have seen you catch right up. Today, it doesn’t.
