Might improve Stone's looks. Then again....

Definitely wouldn't kill any brain cells.Might improve Stone's looks. Then again....
yup same here, depends on your view of trump probs, tbh I think our situation is nothing like him, he's an insecure bigot who rides roughshod over democratic processes that were put in place because the path his actions lead us down are stupid.
Ahh ok. I only caught the tail end but it sounded as though they are being treated differently to the Spanish clubs previouslyBy FIFA, yes. When they inevitably lose the FIFA appeal, they'll appeal to CAS and the ban will be suspended pending the outcome of that appeal.
True enough.
But I struggle with this whole thing, as the big difference of course, is that even if we are 100% 'guilty' the only thing we have done, is try to get round rules which are quite clearly bent & have only been put in place to favour our competitors, some of whom have owners taking money out of football & all have benefitted from people & organisations putting money in, to get them where they are today.
At least Trump is actually doing stuff which is wrong.
We are just fighting against the effects of blatant corruption, but are labelled as the bad guys.
Neither am I, but it's amazing how much hysteria just writing Trump can cause these days!!
A bit like writing City on Rawk!
I have a slight feeling we could come out of this as heroes having blown up this self serving cartel... We just got to get the message out there about how FFP helps the establishment clubs have an advantage
I agreed with your racism card earlier few pages back and now you are comparing a racist in your argument.
Project Longbow was spotted by UEFA and ruled out. The Inland Revenue subsequently made such schemes illegal.Wasn't there an allegation that the small company who bought the image rights was set up with ADUG funding? The project Longbow thing. If that's true, then UEFA might view that as devious workaround involving undeclared owner investment. That might also spill into the Zuculini ownership links back to ADUG funding. To me, the picture currently painted looks properly dodgy.
I note that the Times piece talks of 'a CL campaign' being under threat. That is a lot more restrained than some chunterings. I can see this turning into a suspended ban, and some sanctions like last time - that's an escalation from the previous ban (saving face for UEFA), but not too bad.
I fully believe the City statement that the accounts are legal. I don't think that will be contested, beyond a difference in interpretation of related companies, as highlighted by PB. It doesn't sound as if the 'interpretation' issue will have legs to cause any significant punishment though - I thought the self-definition mentioned by PB was after the 2014 issue anyway - unless City wilfully ignored/went against the UEFA regs then. Based on what I've read, I suspect the latter is an irritation rather than a problem.
But would you want half the team banned and going to united so they could win the league ala Billy Meredith. We have kind of been here before in terms of reputation and the damage it can bring.
1905, I sure some of the older fans will remember.
However we survived.
Pretty sure they're only going through the FIFA appeal process (which is completely pointless as they've no review/appeals panel worthy of the name), while that part was ongoing with the Spanish clubs their bans remained in place, as the appeals were due to run their course before the first affected transfer window (same applies to Chelsea). Once the appeal runs it's course and Chelsea appeal to CAS, the ban will have to be suspended as so not to incur liabilities if the appeal is successful - ie if Chelsea are prevented from signing players for a window and CAS rescind the ban entirely, FIFA are in big trouble on the compensation front.Ahh ok. I only caught the tail end but it sounded as though they are being treated differently to the Spanish clubs previously
And forever will be, regardless of whether we come out of this unscathed from a sanctioning point of view. The whole narrative has already been established, to de-legitimise our achievements.
Ok thanks. I thought they were changing the rules again for the ‘new money clubs’Pretty sure they're only going through the FIFA appeal process (which is completely pointless as they've no review/appeals panel worthy of the name), while that part was ongoing with the Spanish clubs their bans remained in place, as the appeals were due to run their course before the first affected transfer window (same applies to Chelsea). It's been noted.I mentioned Trump a couple of times but I think I got away with it.

I'm sure they would if they could, but both UEFA and FIFA are wary of CAS and with good reason. If Chelsea could show CAS they were being treated significantly differently to other clubs, they'd win the appeal.Ok thanks. I thought they were changing the rules again for the ‘new money clubs’
That cùnt Stone shouldn't be anywhere near our press conferences. Always looking for an angle, never asks anything tactical. Utter gutter press arsewipe. Ugly red fucker too.
Can they? I dont think so.UEFA want this to end up in the CAS. In the CAS illegally obtained documents can be used as evidence.
Generally no, Switzerland hold to the same legal principle as other European countries in that legality cannot be enforced through illegality. CAS are a Swiss court. There are exceptions made but there's no reason that any should be made here that I'm aware of.Can they? I dont think so.
