“City Matters” fan committee

I believe they have to pay for them, so aren't actually 'free' however that doesn't make the fact any better.

I meant free in the fact that they don’t have to have enough loyalty points to buy one. Sorry.

I would assume all the derby tickets will be snapped up. As well as all the Brighton tickets, if the title race is either won by then, or goes to the last match of the season. Then you have the CL semi-final, and final tickets, etc.

Sorry we got misled on what is 'free' but yes of course I get you, they get 1 a piece in the Tunnel club so they don't get handed as many as they want (I went in the Tunnel Club last season and when they were trying to sell it to me I asked) but they are guaranteed 1 a piece. I'm not sure about Legends but I'd say for £5k a season they will get the same. As with the other higher end corporate areas. Commonwealth and Joes goes to a ballot like I said but someone else might be able to confirm that.

93:20 we get a free programme lol

Don’t forget the padded seat and the free wristband

The ID requirement, if applied to all categories (points, supporters clubs, corporate), should hopefully stop those abuses and mean more tickets for fans that actually want to go themselves.
It's not just the passing on of tickets though is it, I'm also talking about the actual allocation some branches get over others?

It's always been a head scratcher for me that you see some branches only getting two maybe three tickets and then you get some branches rocking up to games in one or even two coaches?

I was always under the impression that it was related to branch size and proximity of the branch to the fixture. I might be wrong though.

The bar is ruining football for me

It’s so warm i sometimes stay there too long and miss goals.

I’ve missed more goals in the last two seasons than in the last forty years.

You're not alone in that. I pretty much always make it out for the start of the 2nd half as I rarely drink at half time but one or two that sit near me regularly miss a few goals per season due to being 'delayed' in the bar.

All the corporate hospitality is definitely ruining the match atmosphere, and the apathy of those in 93:20 is a joke. The food and drink on offer is often more appealing than the football as it takes up to 10 minutes after HT to fill back up again. I recently did the stadium tour and was told the top seats in the tunnel club are 15k a season. Wow fifteen fuckin' K a season. Am I envious? Lol. Give me the cheap seats at an affordable price with a pie n' pint now and again amongst blues that care about creating our own 'matchday experience' and I'm as happy as a pig in muck.

I don't do many aways nowadays but if I did I'd be pretty pissed off that my loyalty attending games through 35 trophy-less years means less to the club year on year, and they can swivel if they want me to pay an extra £50 season for extra loyalty points.

But if ones pockets are deep enough and you are well heeled, hey presto, you get tickets for any game despite being a Johnny come lately with fuck all natural affinity, just because we're flavour of every month and number 1 on Top of the fuckin' Pops nowadays is why some turn up to games.

Away ticket preferential treatment to those with the wealth of money over the wealth of experience of doing the hard yards home n' aways of the shit years is wrong IMO, but who the fuck am I to say? The club are not really interested in working class old school blues in the cheaper seats unfortunately. That's how it comes across to me.

I completely agree with you, we are in 93:20 as it's not mega expensive the bar is decent to hang out and let the bulk of traffic go before we do and we have a great view with the atmosphere being above 110/11 and next to the away fans. When my little lad is old enough we will drop below into 110 but he is only 9 and not quite ready for that. We we were in 110 before brought my lad to the games.

So what is it with that section that is so appealing mate, are they showing the game on TV whilst you are still quaffing your champers and posh vol-au-vent like hors d'oeuvres? ; )

And what is it for you to ask me to justify where we sit?
What business is it of yours?
