All the corporate hospitality is definitely ruining the match atmosphere, and the apathy of those in 93:20 is a joke. The food and drink on offer is often more appealing than the football as it takes up to 10 minutes after HT to fill back up again. I recently did the stadium tour and was told the top seats in the tunnel club are 15k a season. Wow fifteen fuckin' K a season. Am I envious? Lol. Give me the cheap seats at an affordable price with a pie n' pint now and again amongst blues that care about creating our own 'matchday experience' and I'm as happy as a pig in muck.
I don't do many aways nowadays but if I did I'd be pretty pissed off that my loyalty attending games through 35 trophy-less years means less to the club year on year, and they can swivel if they want me to pay an extra £50 season for extra loyalty points.
But if ones pockets are deep enough and you are well heeled, hey presto, you get tickets for any game despite being a Johnny come lately with fuck all natural affinity, just because we're flavour of every month and number 1 on Top of the fuckin' Pops nowadays is why some turn up to games.
Away ticket preferential treatment to those with the wealth of money over the wealth of experience of doing the hard yards home n' aways of the shit years is wrong IMO, but who the fuck am I to say? The club are not really interested in working class old school blues in the cheaper seats unfortunately. That's how it comes across to me.
