Mahrez misses pen (cannot be forgiven if we don’t win the PL)
Palace Gift
Pickford fucks up up
Fulham keeper fucks up
Against West Ham they should have lost offside goal
Honestly I’ve never seen this much luck go for one team in a season. No doubt they’ll get one or two more gifts before the end of the season.
I'd like to add to that if I may, there were so many decisions bailing them out at the start of the season, that a lot of us have forgot just how many they've had. Lets try and do a recap if we can(I'm sure there's more I've forgot myself).
We should have had another penalty in the Anfield game if I remember right(some said 2). I can't really remember that game now, can anyone remember the other claims we had in that game properly?
Fulham at Anfield, benefit of doubt should have been given to the striker for the goal they scored in my view. Regardless of that, if the ref is ruling it out, it's unforgivable that he allowed the game to continue while he himself was talking to the protesting Fulham players(that is not a situation to allow a fast freekick) not only did he mess that up but in doing so he was distracted enough to miss the rolling ball quick freekick that allowed Liverpool to run up the other end and score. Game was level and Liverpool were looking short on ideas at the time.
Soft pen against Brighton, the hand on the shoulder was a stupid thing to do for the defender, but Salah sold it to the ref when he jumped and kicked his legs out from under himself, like he'd been judo swept. If that's a pen, not only are all of ours stronger shouts this season(including Bernardo's) but we should have had more(like against Wolves, Aguero and Silva). Game was level, happened in the 2nd half, game finished 1-0.
Mané put his hands around the throat of an Arsenal player in the game before we faced them, the rules are clear on this. The ref, if he saw it, has to go with a red card. If he missed it, retrospective action should have been taken. Liverpool going to the Etihad without their favoured front 3 would have been disastrous for them. The way they talk about Kompany's yellow card offense, like it's a stonewall red and a massive injustice, is a complete joke if you put the above into perspective. Not only did they have a massive let off before the game, we are that much better than them this season, that they themselves think they need a 1 man advantage on the field to have a chance.
Additional to the West Ham game, weren't there a few more offsides, in games they were level in at the time? Who can name them?
I am just glad we have had a couple of decisions to even begin to even it out, although part of me thinks it may have been better to beat them to the title without any at all(how annoyed would they be with no straws to grasp?). To hear the Liverpool fans talk about decisions going all City's way or the refs are against them, is too rich for words to convey.
