Why we will win the league!

If they go into the Newcastle game as league leaders, we can safely say they'll manage to get it over the line. In fact I'll go as early as Matchweek 34 when they play Chelsea. If they're top after that, it's like having one hand on the trophy with the remaining games being Cardiff(A), Huddersfield, NewCastle(A) and Wolves.
That’s such a stupid thing to say.

The last few games are a bag of nerves for any team, just look at us against QPR, we very very very nearly fucked it up against 10 men. Anything can happen in those last half a dozen games, and usually does.

Didn't outplay us but they beat us last year ?!

The three points is all that counts in this title race. But I guess the odd are with us if we control the game as you say ..
I’m just pointing out that we are a lot better then them and, whilst no result is guaranteed, we have nothing to fear from Old Trafford any more. Those days are well behind us.

but that isn't universal is it?

i for one am a bit worried as Liverpool have lost only once this season, to us away. Their home record this season is W13 D2 L0. And they've never looked as steady in previous seasons as they have this one, granted they've had a few draws thrown in recently which has been a very welcome sight. We've shown, on a couple of occasions, that we can pluck random shitty defeats out of thin air (home or away) even in a good run, so that is grounds for the more nervous of us to feel that we could do it again.

i know City finish strongly but these injuries, the United away game and the flood of fixtures is a huge challenge!! the meedja can say what they like.
Liverpool haven’t lost many, however they’ve not won as many either. That little bit of extra creativity and class we have breaking teams down could be the difference.

Liverpool has also had some very fortunate bounces, goalkeeper errors and decisions to get the winning goal in quite a few of those games.

They’re due a few errors and decisions going against them, just to keep the victim mentality going for another 30 years.

They will always have the wind to blame. Or the snow. Or the grass was cut too long. Or the width of the goal line.... Or the opposition players being injured. Or because it's a Saturday :D

When KlipKlopp leaves the field, he engages victim mentality automatically now.

Last season it felt like every player to a man had earned their premier league medals. Each one was an important cog in the machine. Feels different this year. A few of our players have been absolutely outstanding this season and have carried some of the others. Sterling, Aguero and Bernardo in particular.

But if we do win it this year the feeling will be much sweeter... it's uncomfortable being pushed to the wire but think about the rewards... against this fucking shower.. we have to do this... have to for the sake of the game and humanity ;-) They are despicable now, can you imagine what they'll be like if they do win it?

If they win it fair play to them its up to us to stop them and if we don't make sure we crush them next season. One bit of advice that I have been following for a couple of years now is stay well away from virtually every media and social media outlet. It won't seem as bad then.

I have stocked up the shed with provisions... there is no wifi in there and I can last at least a month... Just in case

I think the bookies are way to confident in us. I think their odds on Liverpool are brilliant value. Considering sticking this months wages on the bin dippers winning it. If they don't, I'm happy to lose the money. If they do the winnings might be enough to buy me a one way flight to Timbuktu!

On a serious note though, I do think we'll win it. I know it's a cliché, but we haven't played well at all since the league cup final and we've won every game. Remaining unbeaten doesn't win you the league, but converting close games into wins definitely does. We're hopefully at the end of our injury crisis and Liverpool still haven't regained their brilliant, pre-Christmas form. Mane and VVD are holding that squad together, if anything happens to either of them they're screwed.

I am worried that having to win the game in hand will hand them the motivation. We need them to slip up, soon, to take the pressure off us and give us that bit of breathing space that allows us to compete for the remaining 3 trophies... We've got two little ones in the bag already, let's get another 2 minimum!

Don't go there mate, it's full of dippers.

Funny you should write that. Last week I ended up 520 up on the week at Cheltenham (City Island being a rather nice win) So I banged 120 on the ferrel fuckers. Winning the bet won't make me feel any less like killing somebody or take away the heartache, but I'll be 390 quid richer. I back them rag bastards quite often against us..I sort of think if I bang money on them, then it'll mocker them. A crazy theory, but I am a crazy bastard!

I don’t disagree. The football was better last season than 2011/12 but in terms of emotion 2012 trumps it. It will be a similar feeling with this one if we can make it over the line. The fixture pile up is our biggest problem I think.
