It’s that time of year Steve where you are supposed to exaggerate the benefits of Supporters Club membership so I can boost recruitment of new members tonthe Harrogate Blues, before this weekend’s deadline!!
Just wondering now, but could you join lots of supporters clubs. Therefore increasing your chances of getting tickets ?
If so. i'll join the Harrogate Blues branch ;-)

Passed a coachload of Belgium Blues on the way to the 8 Bells. There was another coach behind it but I’m not sure if they were also Belgium Blues as well

I watch cheeses blog and see yanks and swedes managed to get tickets for Fulham, one yank taking wife to first game so annoying when I know plenty of regulars are struggling and being forced to pay for neutral tickets at double price. Regularly the hospitality holders at city are touting tickets for our away games it all needs sorting out, should only be done on loyalty points in my opinion, if you are in a supporters club you should have loyalty points why the separate allocation, so many jokers now saying I started following city about 10 years ago. I have enough points to get all away tickets but I feel for others who are missing out, when cheesy on Fulham blog asked the yank if he was a member of the Hollywood branch in USA I didn’t know to laugh or cry. I loved the good old away days, I’d have loved to have seen our newbies down cold blow lane or on the leazes in the day, they don’t know what it’s like to have been a loyal blue and sadly for the never will do. Away tickets to only loyalty points holders is the fairest way.

We don't need the money from corporate sales. That's a given. However the way I see it is the club want to project an image on the world stage that we are a high-end brand. This requires ultra-lavish corporate facilities, hence the Tunnel Club and so forth. The club has put all of this in place but what it's forgetting is we're from Manchester mate; Our fan base is not exactly known for having a spare five grand. Sure, a few companies have bought into it but in order to sell tickets in Joe's or 93:20 they've had to throw in the sweetener of being eligible for 9 yes, NINE away tickets each. Not only that but the Joe's or 93:20 premium price season ticket holders will also get the points added to their account for all 9 tickets they might want to buy.

Loads around us yesterday with bleeding phones out filming when play got near the goal area, had to tell one in front of me to put it down because he was blocking the view a couple of times

Don’t think 93:20 has any away priority but equally Joes has no limit and you can apply for away tickets for every game if you want

Not true. I'm in 93:20 and we have no preferential treatment for away tickets.

There is no Away ticket priority in 93:20

Joes’s season card holders aren’t guaranteed one ticket for every away game, never mind nine. They do get a level of priority that I don’t agree with.

The Club feel that we need the Corporate ticket money and it helps to balance the books. That said, I agree that we are not dependant in this cash.

It bites the club on the arse when fans just think “ah fuck this, not bothering anymore, they don’t give a shit about years of support” and fans just fall away.

And it’s not just casual fans, there are fans who went home and away for decades who don’t go anymore.

Then we have the situation like the Wembley semifinal; where are all these foreign nobodies when it comes to those ticket sales?.. nowhere to be seen! Yet the club are losing core supporters year after year. Whether it’s through stuff like this with away tickets or the 200% rise in SeasonCards in eight years, the continual lack of “Manchester” about the club, pushing the Moon as our core identity for a few years was a load of shite, moving fans out of their seats to create corporate areas that are never ever full, “Welcome to our visitors from Indonesia” on the big screen, taking the Prem trophy on a World tour... I think they’ve done it wrong. They need to look more locally. Think of the club as MANCHESTER City and not like some Hollywood film that needs promoting worldwide.

I was in New York for the Liverpool game pre season and in the blue bar before the game me and my Mrs met a lovely couple from New York who we’re obsessed with City, they took us with them to the stadium to show us the way and we’ve stayed in touch
I sit in Joes west and get ticket for away games if I want one and have used this to get him tickets to Liverpool away and Fulham yesterday, he’s absolutely loved both games and text last night saying how he couldn’t believe the chanting non stop and he’s had time of his life. I’ve only ever taken the £30 for the tickets off him and judging by the noise I could hear from our fans yesterday I don’t think him being there had the slightest impact on the support
People will moan about absolutely fuckin anything
