Rags were the last team in 08/09. Then Chelsea in 06/07.

Rags ended up winning the League & League Cup. CL runners up & FA Cup semi finalists.

Chelsea came 2nd in the league, won the FA Cup and League Cup, and were semi finalists in the CL.

So both won a double, lost in a semi and came runners up in another.

That chelsea set of results is probably as close to what may happen if we fail, think FA cup is doable the other 2, if we miss out will be as per chelsea.

Though I am extremely confident of the domestic treble

I agree. I was actually thinking as I was typing it that we may well mirror what Chelsea did. The league is a coin toss.
 
Sooooooooooooooo... league won't be won by either us or Liverpool until the 4th or 12th May most likely, so realistically... that's when we are knocked out.
In FA Cup we could be knocked out Saturday 06/04 or in the final 18/05
Champs League, we could be knocked out 17/04 in QF, SD 7/5, or FINAL 1st June!!

So the worst scenario I can think of is we beat Spurs and Brighton in the cups and this 11 day nightmare unravels:
7th May - Juve go through on away goals after Ronaldo disallowed goal is overturned by VAR,
12th May - Brighton do a QPR, only the Aguero moment falls to Mahrez and he misses,
18th May - Watford beat us after extra time and penalties... the decisive penalty is missed by Raheem despite it being a well struck pen well saved by the keeper. Media witch-hunt resufaces and totally overshadows the first of our five penalties in which Mendy in the run-up does a shark fin mime above head, tries a paneka and trips up/misses.
 
Dream scenario - we pip Liverpool to the title on GD and then beat them on pens on CL final.
Not sure the old ticker would appreciate it though.

Nightmare scenario:
The Dippers fluke the league.
Watford win the FA Cup and Elton John releases a (s)hit single
Rags win Champions League with Ole at the wheel - McTominay hattrick.

what are the odds?!

Same here, winning the league will always be the most important to me.
The others are cup competitions & an element of luck always comes into play in winning cups but the best team always wins the league.

Not sure if I agree with that - the dippers have had unbelievable luck this season with the awful keeping from Pickford and Lloris gifting them four points. Quite a few other things have gone in their favour too. I think we have to acknowledge that Klopp has built a strong team but the best? - not for me.

It pains me to say it but if the dippers win the league they'll have deserved it.
The above won't happen though :)
