FA Cup Semi Final draw - Brighton

Not so sure its too many games or money as the games we are playing in April are either home games or away games where the vast majority of fans cant even get tickets. Think there are people who cant afford it obviously but many just cant be arsed.
It was semi-final or spurs for me spurs meant a day off and £60 for ticket plus travel couldn't afford both so this was a no brainer.

The tickets are on General Sale. Anyone can buy them on line in 2 minutes. There are no £60 category tickets. £30 tickets have been and are available. The club are far from stupid. Hope you enjoy your trip from Brighton and Hove.
I've got.will enjoy. I've been to loads over the years and wtwwws! No more!

It’s not the cash for me. You could put me down as “can’t be arsed” but that only tells half the story. The truth is that it isn’t that big an attraction to me to give up a whole weekend to watch us trying to break down 11 men behind the ball.

10 years ago I’d have flown from Australia to see us in a cup semi final at Wembley. Now it’s not even in the top ten biggest games of the season. I’m getting older I suppose but the truth is that City, and me, have bigger fish to fry.

None of my close mates are going that I know of either.
Beats your previous story about 'going fishing' or some such.

If you aren't interested anymore, why are you on here all the time pontificating and spreading general gloom and despondency?

If you read that as “I’m not interested any more” then you are a thick twat.

Mate, I’ve been watching city home and away for 43 years, for well over 1000 games at over 60 grounds. I’ve been to every big game the club have played through that time. I’ve stood undercover in the Stretford end, the North Bank and the Kop. I’ve beaten the away fans ban at Luton. I’ve blagged and bribed my way into grounds where I couldn’t get a ticket. I went to every away game in division 3. I’ve watched is all over Europe. My kids are city fans and a number of mates have become blues because I’ve taken them.

Shove your pontification up your arse.
Still a piss poor attitude. Especially the fact you want to brag about the fact that you can't be arsed.

Dismal Dave has been on here for years boring the tits off the rest of us

Do you wear your medals on matchday.

Of course the fan base has grown 15 years ago we were getting 32.000 .now 54.000 but it has not grown big enough and fast enough to take up the slack ,that's why some cup games European games night games and of course Wembley semi finals we struggle to sell out

I think fan apathy and volume of games is the main reason we're Not shifting Wembley tickets

Let's be honest. Despite it being an FA Cup semi-final, it's probably the least important game of the ones we have left. If someone said we could have 2 of the remaining 3 trophies, not everyone but most would drop the FA Cup. Every PL game is bigger and the two upcoming CL games (and hopefully the semi-final legs) are bigger. The only thing that would make this game significantly more attractive is if we were playing the rags or Liverpool. It's even live on free-to-air TV so you don't even need to worry about streams or going to the pub. If you're a Brighton fan younger than mid/late-40's then this is probably your first trip to Wembley. If you're 50+ then you might have been twice in your lifetime. It's our third trip this season alone and the one with the least attractive opponent and where there's no trophy of any sort at stake.

If we do win it then I can see that the prospect of a Wolves/Watford final, at much higher prices than the semi-final, might not have tickets flying off the shelves. Particularly if we're fortunate enough to be in the CL final & people are forking out for Madrid. Although we'll certainly sell out without too many problems I imagine. I know Didsbury Dave and he's as passionate a Blue as anyone but I think he's captured a lot of the zeitgeist surrounding this particular game.

Every game is massive. This is one of the biggest weeks in the history of this club. If we win the next three games, that puts us in an incredible position, so in that sense I agree with you. We've got about 14 Cup Finals left potentially. I forget the exact number.

You are not looking beyond the box sorry to say, DD has been there and done that and respect for it.
No need to try slate the bloke if he decides not to go to this, it doesn't make anyone a big hero because others do go and not him.

Good post matt.

It's entirely at an individual's discretion how and when they choose to attend games and support the club,so,to those concerned.......please stop attacking others for their opinion, honesty and their prerogative.

Exactly. Going to watch City should be optional. City fans criticising others for not attending games should be politely be told to fuck off.
