The Labour Party

Accept that a political party became institutionally anti Semitic because it elected a long standing defender of Palestinian rights as leader ?

You can be a defender of Palestinian rights and be complicit in institutionalised racism in the party.

The evidence is there right in front of us all, Corbyn lied and it’s being reported there has been a huge cover up.

It’s a sad day when both our main parties have racism issues, it’s an even sadder day when one set of followers are so deluded in their support of the leader, that they point blank refuse to accept any evidence.

I’ll take that as a no from you.
Funny isn't it. When that TIG MP used the words "funny tinge", they were all over it denouncing her racism. When there's any evidence of Islamophobia in the Tories, they're all over it. Yet when there's hard evidence that their leader and the clique around him are not just protecting but seemingly encouraging antisemites in their own party, suddenly it's all smears and lies.

There's people on here, who'd swear on their families' lives that they're anti-racists, who simply can't bring themselves to admit that racism of the vilest sort exists under their noses among their own "comrades" yet criticise Jews who defend Israel in any way. You get more sense out of Liverpool fans.

When it even came straight from the horses mouth and Labour’s leadership admitted there was a problem, which has now been revealed they’d covered it up and let known antisemites back into the party, they still refuse to believe it.

They’re fucking dangerous and I never thought I’d be saying that for people who I’ve always shared political views with.

Some day they will feel shame for sure, when they look back and see what they defended.

I think Corbyn's as much as a twat as the best of you, that prick has let me down spectacularly, but this anit-semetism thing is bollocks. Corbyn maybe many things, but i don't think for a second he's a racist (terms and conditions attached, if he is, he's let me down before).

His office has specifically intervened to defend people who have spread antisemitic conspiracy theories and propaganda.

If he’s not a racist himself, he bloody likes them.

Fucking disgraceful post.
Don't let it get to you mate. There's a couple of posters on here with whom sensible debate about Labour (or the Tories for that matter) is completely impossible.

I am a lifelong Tory supporter and voter not because of the personalities involved but because I believe in Conservative principles, in the main. But when I see someone in the Tory party talking crap, or policies which I believe are wrong, I have no issue being openly critical of them.

Contrast the few nutters on the other side, who are *incapable* of recognising flaws in Labour or more specifically Corbyn. They've had their heads down the back of his trousers so long, they can't smell shit anymore. And if they ever do get a whiff, they won't even admit it

I think that’s exactly it.

I’ll vote for the manifesto I believe to be the best for the country at the time.

My views are that Social Democracy is the way forward so I’ve almost always voted Labour.

But the thought of the self-proclaimed anti-racism Party and the opposition in 21st century Britain, has now been infiltrated by antisemitic conspiracy nutters, should worry everyone.

The Tories also seemingly have an issue with anti-Muslim bigotry and I believe that Theresa May's and Amber Rudd’s handling over Windrush should sound alarm bells for the whole country.

The difference is and it pains me to say it, you don’t have Tory voters defending the party and the leadership no matter what. In fact many are very critical of the party and are fed up with May.

Contrast that to the far left and they cannot say a single bad word against Corbyn. I think it’s because they’ve waited so long for a socialist to be party leader, now they’ve finally got one, they can’t let him go.

The weird thing is being called a Tory and neo-liberal, as has happened on this very thread and the previous page, by Corbynites, purely on the basis of me drawing a line of my support/vote at the point of a coverup and even defense of racists in the party - when in actual fact, I’ve got left wing views myself.

It isn’t just former Blair supporters or Centrists in the party they hate. They absolutely despise Tom Watson for having the audacity to speak against the leadership, of which he’s part of, to say they need to do more to stop antisemitism and they need to get behind a confirmatory Brexit vote.

What Watson is trying to do is the right thing on both accounts but the cult see it as a betrayal. You don’t criticise Corbyn unless you’re a Zionist neoliberal traitor.

Times claim leaked emails and so the anti-present led labour lot here - must be true haven't seen a source mentioned
Die spiegal claim leaked emails about our beloved club- lying german rag of a paper with agenda against us.

I don't and have never denied an issue on the left with anti-semitism, it's scale within the membership maybe, and I have never denied that the party has made a shitshow pf dealing with it and allowed it to be a negative against them.

But I love the hypocrisy that you can pick and choose when you believe allegded email leaks to suit.

My position on corbyn and labours handling of certain issues is clear but I am open minded that this paper isn't the most reliable when is comes to balance.

This says it all about labour! At least with the tories they are either hard brexit looney or they aren’t. Labour don’t know what they are as the leader doesn’t know himself!

It was the Times, not Telegraph.

City have practically said that the leak was true but they’re taking it out of context and can explain. The leak was a snippet of a conversation and Die Speigal are just presuming the rest of that conversation, according to City.

The Labour leak is said to have specific stats and evidence of individuals let off by Corbyn’s office when they’ve stirred antisemitic conspiracies. They’re claiming they have email evidence of Corbyn’s office stepping in to defend Holocaust deniers and individuals claiming that the Jews were behind 9/11.

This isn’t comparable in the slightest.

I vote Labour, I’d rather have Corbyn than May, but I cannot defend him here, it’s fucking disgraceful.

Sorry times I have editted.

And of course it is comparable as the momment the die spiegel article came out it was rebuked on here as bollcks, no roof, an agenda, before the club came out with any comment, so until official comment this is pure speculation that some on here take as fact because they dislike the leadership.

If it is confirmed or deffininately proved then yes call the **** out by all means.

Similar all week the word maxist has reapeared by news reporters every time corbyn is mentioned.
Sow the seed marxists marxists maxists everywhere.

Any City fans who claimed it was bollocks without really knowing were doing so out of pure bias and confirmation bias.

The biggest point is, the article from the German magazine was the first and only bit of evidence against City though.

We already have evidence against the Labour leadership in this regard and these leaks are just explaining the sheer size of the coverup and are giving further specifics.

This isn’t the first bit of evidence on it, it’s just the most comprehensive in terms of volume.

I’d absolutely love Corbyn to take us further back to a social democracy, his Brexit is much better than May’s and I’m sure he may actually call a 2nd referendum if he was in power.

I agreed with his manifesto and would much prefer him to the Tories.

This is a set back for my political views. I’m not doing this out of spite or bias towards him.

Ok fair enough

Isn't it valid for them to reserve their position until they know the precise referendum question?

I think they all have a personal opinion. The problem for the majority of them however, is that they are unsure what to say in order to most effectively bring about the chance of a GE and a possibility of winning one. So better to say nothing than to risk fucking that up.

It's a cast iron case of putting party and personal aspirations ahead of the needs of the country. I am not suggesting the Tories are any better in that regard by the way, but Corbyn's spineless opportunism has been plain to see and is mirrored by the (in)actions of most Labour mps.
