I do anything I possibly can to avoid the doctors or anything medical, god knows how i'd go on if ever had to go through this.

It might be the thing that saves you life.
I agree and it's not something i take any pride in.
I have always been he same and know that I am a prick for being this way, I have a couple of medical conditions at present and don't help myself.
Excellent advice .I got mine sorted in Turkey excellent service and careI went for one recently and they found a very large polyp, 60 cm's in dia. It was a messy thing to have cut out and I had a lot of bleeding afterwards.
This thing was pre-cancerous thank god but couldve changed anytime.
I had no symptoms just a routine colonoscopy, can I urge anyone on here over 50 to go for regular colonoscopies, and get any polyps removed, bowel cancer is a major killer here in Oz, in fact with all the processed foods the western diet consists off, its becoming a bit of an epidemic.
I'll be having another one in 2 years.
I had one 3 years ago and they burnt a ltitle polyp out. They asked me to make a return in 3 years just for a check up, so I'm getting enough courage to do it again. It's not so much the camera(although it did make my eyes water) the thought of drinking that glupey seaweed salty sugary vile drink and having the 10 bob bits for two days fills me with utter dread.Had one of these recently. The prep was worse than the procedure, which was slightly uncomfortable but mostly fine.

I will my friend. I'll call the quacks tomorrow and get it out of the way.Do it.
Good man. If you don't you'll drop off their radar.I will my friend. I'll call the quacks tomorrow and get it out of the way.
I'll never forget the taste of Moviprep. It's like someone took flat lemonade and left it out in the sun for three weeks, extracted everything people enjoy from flat lemonade (which isn't much to begin with) and then put a drop of piss in it. Hideous stuff that I hope I never have to drink again.
This is spot on. One time I had to take this stuff for 2 days and all I was allowed to eat was jelly. Can’t touch jelly now as it reminds me of moviprep. Turns my stomach even thinking about it
Never watch the screen - it’s a golden rule of mineThe Moviprep experience was worse than the tube up my arse. Although I don't appreciate the occasional flashbacks of watching, on a 50" screen, seeing blades jab out of the tube to take several samples of my colon.

It's the first time I've had to get it on prescription. Having said that, it makes sense if a better service can be provided with the cost savings.I watch the screen every time as I want to know whats going on and see what state my bowel is in.
In regards to Movieprep, I always get it for free, never had to pay for it on prescription. As bad as it is, would rather have that than a Barium meal, that is the stuff of the devil. Because I am so tall, it takes forever to get into the small bowel and I have to sit there all day drinking untold amounts. Horrible stuff.
