I think much has been made of the 6 1/2 days rest for Spurs and the the 2 1/2 days rest for us.

While it's true we have had less preparation and recovery time, the players have used good game management in each of the last few games to see out wins. It would have been a significant impact if it had gone to extra time/penalties on Sunday.

We must show good mental strength and self belief in what is likely to be a high intensity stadium atmosphere. With the right attitude and confidence we can do it.

C'mon City!
Yeah, and some moaners near me at Wembley screaming for us to constantly surge forward, which would have taken something out of us. Unfortunately, we have some that do not understand the Pep methodology. It's absolute genius. Risk and reward.

Looking at this scientifically -

We have played 52 times so far this season and have failed to score in only 3 games
In those 52 games only once have we conceded more than 2 goals - to Palace
Also within those 52 games we have not conceded more than 1 goal to any other English side (2 to Lyon twice, Schalke and Swansea) so in all only 5 games in which we have conceded more than 1

The conclusion
A 1-1 draw or 2-1 defeat are about the worst likely results but a win to nil or to 1 is far more likely

Thanks!

A pleasure to read that :-)

Scientists from Leicester and Newcastle might have a question :)

I get your point, but there is enough to lose for spurs as well in such a big match.
You surely don't want a defeat in the 2nd match inside your new home after waiting half an eternity for the new fortress...

Anyway, some good contribution on here, very welcome.

Now what about a predicted spurs lineup for tonight?
And who are the 3-4 spurs players on top form right now?
Who could score?

Not sure if Poch will go with a back 3 or 4. Winks is fit so the front 5-6 pick themselves.

Probably

Lloris

Trippier Toby Vertonghen Rose

Winks Sissoko

Eriksen Dele Son

Kane

Bring Moura on at some stage -the only real game changer we have on the bench.

Kane will score. At least one.
