Var debate 2019/20

Sad pissed off var Fuck us last year and this. Inches... ! Works well for rags at psg! Reality is errors by laporte and the .missed pen by Sergio cost. Like at anfield y mahrez will be huge

How many replays do you need to see before you realise it hit his hip then wen in not hit elbow?

It hit both - elbow first, then hip. It's as clear as day from the behind-the-goal replay angle that the ball hit Llorente TWICE, since the ball completely changed direction twice. The only part of this body that could have deflected the ball down on to this thigh was his arm/elbow.

It 100% hit his hip after his elbow. There’s no debate about it. And by the letter of the law it has to be intentional. The ref reviewed it and deemed it not.
Show me where it says this... the law say nothing about it needing to be intentional for SCORING goals. You are talking about a defender getting in the way of a shot there I think. As I said a ref cleared this up on the Wily Boly incident.

It shouldn't have stood end of.

The ref reviewed the worst possible camera angle of it, so I’ve got no problems with the ref. It’s the twats that didn’t show the angle that it shows him elbowing the ball. I’ve got no doubts if they showed that to the ref it would have been disallowed.

Nope I will think you will find you are wrong there. It does not.

This was cleared up on the Wily Boly goal this season. The offside rule defines which parts of the body can be used... and which part of the body is the only part you cant be offside with?

Offside? You’re talking about the Spurs handball decision right? At least I am! Haha

never saw an elbow goal allowed with var. That said, your grudge with the champions league doesnt help the team, try to embrace the competition, support the lads and then maybe you'll win it

Some of you guys are a disgrace. It was a fucking handball and it should've been disallowed. The blind Clattenburg even says it in his article on the Daily Mail. But that twat didn't saw the ball hitting Llorente arm. His quote: "If the ball had gone in off his arm or hand then it would have been disallowed, even if the contact was not deliberate."

In this clip it shows Llorente hit the ball first with his arm. It should've been disallowed.

A lot of shit being spouted tonight, it was a clear handball. You can not elbow the ball into the goal. It doesn’t matter now like, but I find it very hard to accept that we are out of Europe two years in a row due to shitty decisions.

You're using a reference to a penalty given for a DEFENDER, blocking a goal bound shot? I'm talking about an attacker scoring a goal mate.

You're wrong sorry, waffle on about the rules of the game all you like, you clearly have them confused here. Read what I wrote properly, the offside rules define what you can SCORE with. You're talking about something else.

We had all of this on the Wily Boly goal that shouldn't have stood. The excuses the Wolves fans came up with were incorrect even if he wasn't offside.

It has two angles up and the ref chose to specifically review one. The ball hit his elbow then his hip. It wasn’t deliberate. Next season the rules are changing and it wouldn’t have stood. Just to add insult to injury. But the decision was right tonight. Sadly.

And ??
WE fucking conceded 3 which tells its own story !
We got what we deserved.
But I am convinced that we will still win the PL Easily !!!

How did we get what we deserved if the 3rd was a hand ball?

We got what was given to us, a fuckwit ref shrugging and letting it stand.

What's the point in VAR if the ones behund the screen are the same clueless ****s that make the wrong calls already?

Imagine the Aguerrroooo moment with VAR. Everyone would be waiting 2 minutes after the goal to see if there'd been a foul or offside in the buildup. I thought I'd be a fan of it but goals shouldn't be reviewed, no way.
Difference is if var was around then they’d have found something or someway of preventing that goal ..

I have lots of problems with VAR and said it before it was it introduced I never want it and hate it with a passion. Having said that the way it has been designed is wrong, it crucially takes away all the joy and devastation out of the game, sitting there waiting for a decision to be minutely examined is a farce, if it has to be examined then it’s not working. It is said that VAR is good because it will ensure the correct decisions, but it hasn’t already so it’s not good. Behind every law is a “sprit” and this is crucial, eg offside is to prevent “goal hanging” it’s not there is penalise a player for his foot being 2mm in front of his opponent, trying to be scientific doesn’t work, they can’t determined when the ball was kicked? Also unless the camera is inline with the play then drawing lines across the screen is inaccurate, yet they determine that he is 2mm offside. The Sterling goal tonight was too close to call and this is where the linesman is better than any technology Fuck VAR I hate it it’s wrong and will turn people off football
