I actually think you could do alright tonight. Barcelona are no great shakes at the back, even the rags created chances against them and your front three are miles ahead of anything they have. You will definitely score it's keeping Messi and co quiet.

Without a doubt if you keep your main players and add to the squad you will be challenging for quite a while yet.

Yeah I thought that when the Rags created chances. I’m not sure if anyone on here watched the Napoli game when I think we had 4 shots, all off target. I just can’t shake that performance. Never seen us penned in like that for 90 minutes. Messi is the key, I’d happily take 1-1 probably even 2-1 if someone offered it to me.

Really hope so as I prefer batting with a team of City’s quality. I don’t want to go back to swapping places with Arsenal and the Rags!

To be fair there aren’t many places they can all go. You’ve got Man City, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus and PSG. Maybe Bayern. I don’t think you lot will want any of our players again which everyone agreed with on here a while back. Juventus and Bayern won’t have the money. PSG, Neymar aside, players usually go to later on in their careers. Leaves the usual 2.

I think in the past we’ve been so inconsistent and players want to compete for honours. We couldn’t even guarantee them we could compete. I do think we are now more stable than we’ve been for over 20 years. And the dross being offered up by the Rags, Chavs and Arsenal, means although we won’t get 90+ points next season there’s no way we’ll be down with those teams. They need to be watching out for Wolves, Everton and maybe a few others. Arsenal are the Liverpool of 10 years ago, maybe slightly worse.

I do think we will end the season without a trophy but the fans are happy. Sounds weird to you lot I know as you’ve been racking up the medals lately. But for the first time in a long time it feels like we can really compete. Winning is great, but we haven’t even been competing for a long time. And to compete does feel good I have to admit.

No idea about tonight. Depends how we set up. Away performances at Napoli and PSG have me scared.

Think you will lose Salah and possibly Mane unless you start winning stuff. The fans may be happy?? but top players won't be happy just competing for ever.

worked on the turnstiles at maine road for many years and the liverpool game was always (be on your guard) and never leave your turnstile even if you get jumpers or trouble, even the exit's gates was a nightmare working on them and they would try anything to get you to open them ???

Yeah I agree that eventually they won’t believe in Klopp’s vision if trophies don’t follow. I think we’ll be safe for next season but next season we will have to win something or risk certain players.

Arsenal and the rags are both odd cases. With a couple of key additions who hit the ground running and weeding out the disruptive influences they could challenge again. You were 25 points or so off us last season but have made that up with good investment.

Yep....I wasn’t impressed by Barca against the Rags and Liverpool are a different animal to the Rags....a much improved performance needed from Barca who I thought looked looked past their best Busquets and Suarez especially showing their age

Cant see you winning the league while Pep is with us, next season we will be stronger still, we've been without KDB most of the season, arguably our most influential player and we are still a better team, even with opposition keepers gifting you crucial goals and refs gifting you pens.
