No chance. He’s got at least one more season left in him. Having him in the squad is absolutely invaluable to us even if we only get ten games out of him next year it’s more than worth it.
 
Hope not, but what a way to go out if so. With Otamendi looking likely to leave, it's gonna take some serious recruitment if Vinny goes too. Unless we blood Sandler or Garcia as the 4th choice centre back next season.
 
Of course it’s not his last game you silly people. The colossus will sign for another year and play in the games that pep deems him to to be able to play in. As a man who employs people I’d be loath to put him out to pasture yet... I just feel his love for the moment, and our club got the better of him briefly. What a man, socially aware and professionally brilliant, and, as was shown this evening, still capable. I hope he continues again, only him and Pep will know the answer to that. To be continued...
 
It may be that Kompany himself wants to go even if City do want him to stay. He's got limited time left as a player, and he may want to spend a couple of seasons playing more often. That doesn't mean for a second he wouldn't rather it be at City, but I couldn't blame him if that's what he wanted to do - he's a long time retired.
 
I will be shocked if the club don’t offer him a contract, the guy is so respected he’s a blue for life and a club legend.

Pretty much this, I cannot imagine that he will not have the option to stay in some capacity and that Pep will try and persuade him to do so. No question that he will always be a blue. He will no doubt have a difficult few weeks come the end of the season trying to decide what is best. Might want to play every week and that wont happen at City, but on the other hand will his body take playing every week?

If we win the treble then you really could not blame him for thinking that is a hell of a way to finish here and it wont get better. Whatever he decides I doubt he will be gone for long because City is his home, it was looking grim tonight and then that happened. It could perhaps only have been Vinny or Sergio.
 
I'd be gutted if he left now, really want him to end his career here in a couple of years. Still more than good enough to play 15 games a season and be a huge inspiration off the pitch.

Pep isn't an idiot. He'll want to keep him. But he won't BS Kompany, he'll have told him how many/few games he expects to start next year, plus maybe a new CB signing coming in - Vinny might fancy playing week in week out.

Because of his injuries I don't see him going to a league with lots of games. Plus he won't want to play against us.

I can see NYCFC as a potential destination.

IF Vinnie plays stateside he deserves a better home then that Bronx crap heap they call a stadium. I'd love to see him with the Galaxy, Toronto, Atlanta or Portland. Portland would be the perfect landing spot for him as we haven't replaced our former defensive captain Liam Ridgwell who went to Hull City.
 
As long as his hammys keep going we shod keep hold of him. Totally invaluable to keep team morale going. Let him keep doing his coaching badges and when he can no longer keep going use him as a coach.
 
He’s going nowhere, 1 year extension on a rolling contract until he’s 99 years old, legend. And yes I was in the “no Vinny” don’t shoot camp but fuck me what a strike, we won’t let this go, never been so sure of anything in my life.
