Leicester (H) Post Match Thread.

A propos of Kelechi's miss. A lot's being made of that, and I'd have to see the match back, but it seems to me that it was quite a bit harder than is being made out. It's not as if he's through and alone. There are at least two of ours closing in on him (can't remember who), I'm not sure if he even has time to take a touch on the ball, and Ederson had come out to exactly the right distance so as to narrow the angle. In other words, it wasn't a gaping goal in front of him, and he wasn't alone. Am I wrong?

That said, his heart was in the right place… ;-)

By the way, surely an absolute nailed-on pen on Raheem at one point? (when he's sandwiched by the two Leicester defenders…)

Karma for that blatant missed header at Cardiff from the dipper supporting player

Nice one Kelechi ; )

Bernardo is turning into Messi. His close control is absolutely insane. I’ve been screaming for him to play in the middle all season, so that we have Sane and Sterling on the wings but maybe Beenardo’s best position is on the right of a front three like Messi. I worry for Sane, I’d love for him to be with us for a very very long time but I just don’t see it now.

Bernardo is a potential future Balon Dor winner imo.

Vinny, I absolutely love you.

Ok, So it's from the BBC but encouraging words from Pep about VK.

"We are going to take a beer together and decide what is best, especially for the club," he said.

"He is an incredible human being and he helps me a lot. I always said I could not use him a lot, but this club is what it is because of people like Vincent.

"When he is fit he is an incredible centre-back. He is a real defender, he is a leader many times."

Perhaps I'm reading between the lines but seems like VK is being lined up for a backroom role.

straight into the hot seat at end of season after all he's a club legend

Still exhausted from yesterday’s match. No need to add a comment or discuss what went right or wrong. It’s all about Vinnies moment of glory. Again. What a goal. What a player. What a leader. What a human being.

13 done. One to go.

Very tough game in which the players - once again - had to dig deep and battle before they could play football. Every one of them gave it their all and non more so than Sir Vincent of Kompany. On a card after his one and only mistimed tackle of the game, he went on to give a master class in defending. The 70yrd balls he was pinging to Bernard and Sane were just a warm up for the monster strike that capped an incredible performance.
The scenes after the final whistle had my mrs blubbing along with Vinny and will live long in the memory.
Special K indeed.

Danilo looks like he is going based on his gestures from the pitch last night.

I thought the post-match walk around the pitch was excellently done. Quickly done and dignified and great that the stadium was full.

Incredible goal from a true club legend.

I have the following moan about last night (I posted it at HT in the match thread). Just before kick off the atmosphere was really getting going when the idiot announcer was roaring through the PA some shite about junior football teams being photographed on the pitch (whilst one was being photographed). It totally killed the atmosphere right at the start of the game.
