Spurs 2018/19

The thought of Spurs playing in a 3/4 empty, shiny, new stadium against Wisla Krakow or Qarabag in the Europa League is delicious.

An Arsenal win today and an Everton result next week will make it probable.

I can’t imagine that Poch, Kane, Eriksson, Alderweireld or Son would be as thrilled as me.

United missing out and appointing the gnome means years of restructuring, Spurs could implode, Arsenal are miles away with that defence and Chelsea will lose Hazard and their manager will possibly go.

That leaves Liverpool who, if we secure two wins, could quickly see Klipperty, Salah and Mane lose patience and leg it to La Liga.
Best put that Arsenal scarf away mate. They play as turd as us in the league!

Top four mailed on unless they lose at home to Everton, and Arsenal win at Burnley and there's an 8-goal swing.
We can but hope.. sadly it’s a done deal now. Let’s hope Harry, Dele, Danny and the rest of those lovely boys that would never leave a foot in a tackle have a miserable trip to Ajax in midweek

They need Champs league just to keep paying Levy back for the shiny new stadium according to my Spurs mate, he's worried, what a fucking shit bet that ends up if they don't get top 4 now...

New stadium is massively overhyped.
I was in the home end last week in the south stand , couldn’t get anywhere near a bar, massive ques for the toilets and everywhere crammed.
Decent view and close to the pitch but the actual stadium isn’t anything that special.

Nice to see Spuds lose AGAIN. Is that 12 league losses, now?
Should the rags sack the paperboy, they're MORE than welcome to Botch (sorry, Poch)

I agree, also what's them slopes near the corner flags all about, and they are slopes it's not as if it's only a slight decline, oh btw 13 losses now in the league, pathetic for a so called big club who wanna win trophies.

Can anybody who is fluent in pigeon English translate this please?

He’s coming up with excuses for not winning anything yet and that he may (or may not) leave to try and not repeat the success he has had so far somewhere else. I think he also mentioned Spurs have a new stadium but I think he is talking out of his arse on this one!

This will never happen, but if I were Spurs I would genuinely give United and Madrid a hint that Kane could go for massive money.

They are so much faster and more aggressive, with Moura and Son up front, and when you look at what Liverpool did with the Coutinho 140m, Spurs could feasibly do the same, especially if they managed to win the CL and had that to attract players. Plus that's 5 injuries to the same ankle ligaments in 3 years for Kane now...

But I don't think Levy will ever pay players as much as Liverpool do, and I also think there's too much sentimentality involved, too much risk if it goes wrong.

Just asked in the CL thread, can someone give me a brief rundown of why a lot of you seem to have a strong dislike of Spurs?? Cant just be the CL knockout game, seems tl be more to it.

I personally like them, am a big fan of Poch too. Havent come across a lot of their fans apart from 2 in work that are normal.

I'd have loved Ajax to win that and go on to win it in fairytale fashion but for all their passion, heart and skill, I just dont think they would be equiped to deal with the pressure the RS put teams under. Spurs are so much more equipped to deal with it, are very capable of beating them and have been unlucky in the last few times they have faced each other.

Fair Point.
Transfer to United would probably be the best option for both clubs. Utd need players and have the money.
