As others have said kev but he has never had it when vinny not there always someone else, I would love it to be Kevin he is the driving force behind this team when it gets going, David but I don't think he will play so many next year, maybe he deserves to be club captain with Kevin vice captain.

He's not been given a fair chance even when fit. I doubt many on here are privy as to why this is. At a guess, I think Delph has perhaps had a behind the scenes spat with Pep.

Fernandinho for me.

He’s clearly got exactly standards like Kompany, looks out for the young players.

A fierce competitor and natural leader, also one of the old guard who’s won 3 titles so instantly demands respect.

Dave has been vice captain so he may be Pep’s obvious first choice, but I think Fernandinho’s personality is a more natural replacement for what Kompany gave us.

Yes, it's a very weird shout. When you are picking a new captain you go for someone that will be on the pitch. I thank him for his service at left back, but he has never been nor will be more than a backup/rotation player at City.

I realise he isn't "good enough" but his leadership qualities are there to see from last season's Amazon documentary. I like Delph. Far too good a player to be either on the bench or not even in the squad when fit, but he is hardly fit and we will most probably get rid this summer.

I reckon pellegrini maybe interested in his signature.
