The only thing that will keep this shower in power at the next GE is the even worse bunch of f**k wits in charge of the Labour party. What a total embarrassment. Just listened to Raab on Marr who came out with all the usual platitudes and nice words but ultimately had no substance. He was followed by Shami Chakrabarti. An ardent remainer but her answers to Marrs questions showed she clearly had even less of an idea of what was possible with regards to Brexit. Both clueless her more so.
Listened to Liam Fox this morning on Pienaar - piss funny - asked " if we leave on a no deal Brexit can you guarantee there will be little disruption and no shortages for the British people "
Answer " I think the question you are asking is we shouldn't be doing anything that threatens the Union...."
None of them can say what a No Deal WTO departure will mean.
Equally fair enough, but I suggest that you should not consider your viewing of people waffling ignorance in vox pops about world wars and empires etc. to be reflective of the vast majority of the people who wish for the UK to leave the EU (ideally in an orderly fashion).Fair enough
I was just being blunt tbf as I keep seeing vox pops with peolple waffling on about "we don't need europe or anyone, we won 2 world wars" or "we were an empire once"
This nonsense has been fed by dicks like johnson and franscois and it skewering the real chance of getting a decent exit.
You just keep (deliberately I would guess) missing the point. Not proven until there's the political will to walk away, and there is still then no movement. They didn't exactly seem panicked on 28 March. The panic was that one of the 27 might veto the extension.
But on what democratic basis do we just say we'll walk away with no deal? Can you furnish a quote from any of the Tory leadership candidates that suggests they were campaigning in the referendum for "no deal"? Or from Farage? We could be like Norway - or negotiate a new free trade deal with the EU.
Au contraire, Johnson was campaigning for a no vote as a mechanism to get the EU to renegotiate a better deal on concessions than Cameron got - with the assumption that. having got those concessions, we would then have another referendum....

No , because if the people who were put in charge of implementing it acted as instructed there wouldn't be an issue would there!? Instead many are doing all they can to thwart Brexit and they are succeeding. Ever thought of that??Does it ever occur to you that the problem is with Brexit ..... and possibly not the people trying to implement it?
Agree with all that - but anyone else notice how Marr kept interrupting Raab yet allowed both Chakrabarti and Hammond much more time to make their Remainer points? The only thing that will keep this shower in power at the next GE is the even worse bunch of f**k wits in charge of the Labour party. Fuck - that first bit - would be proper frustrating (for some);-)
That's because you can't say "fucking shit, bollocks and arseholes" on the BBC.
Francois said only 2 days ago, that the plan to leave, without a deal, will immediately mean that we negotiate a deal.
And we will then get tariff free access to the EU market.
I wonder how many people, voting for it, believe that.
Marr is a remainer, it's been obvious the last three years that most of the BBCs editorial news team are remainers. Statistics demonstrate that they recruit the majority of their staff from liberal pro remain news papers. Studies also show that they have had roughly twice as many pro remain panellists and so called experts as they have pro Brexit people. They are not by any standards an independent neutral news organisation when it comes to the reporting of Brexit.Agree with all that - but anyone else notice how Marr kept interrupting Raab yet allowed both Chakrabarti and Hammond much more time to make their Remainer points?

McVey talking bollocks here too - her invisible border uses technology that already exists yet none of them seem to be able to explain how it works and exactly what technology we would be dealing with. The idea that we can set it all up by 31st Oct is deranged and it doesn't explain how if customs checks are done away from the border smuggling will be stopped - same with illegals - ROI will become the main gateway into the UK for illegal immigrants. And finally what she doesn't admit - to trade on WTO rules the WTO will need to be satisfied her invisible border is in place and fit for purpose because as part of our taking back control the WTO will need to monitor it too so they are sure we comply.

You can quote where you get these remarks from ‘statistics demonstrate..’, ‘Studies show..’?

McVey doesn't care. She's a proven liar with little regard for any consequences. She will say anything, and I mean anything, to get where she wants to be. She's the worst kind of politician.
