These are misleading headlines (as happens too often relating to City) and if the quotes in the above actual links /reports are accurate, then this is what was said:

“Hopefully we can challenge Man City again next season for the title because I don’t think they will go anywhere, but we will go nowhere either." and

“ Manchester City won it and it was well deserved, but we will be able to challenge now.“

So, VD and the Diver are correct - City deserved to win the title and remain the team to beat but Pool will give it a good go. This is what we all thought at the beginning of this season. In my opinion they will not be able to repeat 97 points yet City are capable of doing the same again. They are our challengers but we will win it again and by more points than this season.
 
A Liverpool fan (otherwise quite a sane fellow) said to me last week: "I watched City v Leicester on TV and Leicester missed an open goal in the closing minutes, otherwise we'd have won the PL".
I pointed out to him that but for the inexplicable co-operation of 3 or 4 opposing goalkeepers, some dodgy penalties/dives, and several offside goals, the real difference between us was about 10 or 12 points, not just one. That is why Liverpool won't get as many points next season.
He had no answer to that. I have yet to see it said in print, though, or on Sky/BBC.
 
Every time a Dipper player , manager , owner , fan opens their gob we are always mentioned , they are obsessed with the greatest team in English football history , just waiting for MIlner (Norman Wisdom look-a-like) to say how his singular medal justifies his decision to jump ship from the Etihad , you should have stayed a little longer Jimmy you could have had at least half a dozen more medals

The only Dynasty Klopp will be involved in , will be if they do re-make of the 1980's yank TV series , with his teeth he could take the part of an ugly Joan Collins.

Indeed. The absolute last thing I would be doing is going on a rival fans forum gloating about winning the CL after partaking in perhaps the shittest final in living memory, and benefitting from some pretty one sided refereeing decisions throughout the competition.
