FIFA Women's WC France 2019

The re is no comma in my original sentence that would clarify my statement.

Read “Eats, shoots and leaves.”

I’m open to learning.

P.S. I appreciate the joke (left or right), but question the grammar you are espousing. Sorry for being nerdy about it! :-)

No probs. Was only joking. But the sentence reads weird as Jill's heading left, As if giving her direction.
Followed by, much to be desired.

I would've thought it should read. Jill's heading, left much to be desired.

You're pissed. Get out.
Tedious rogue types.

Once you explained, I knew you were just messing about. No worries.

However. your use of the period and comma, left something to be desired! ;-)

Jill’s heading left much to be desired today!

That’s very true. But she’s the one getting in those positions. I just think she is the only one who is really comfortable receiving the ball off defenders, turning and transitioning the play time after time. She’s a fulcrum through whom the whole team functions. But yeah, her heading was off last night!

Your easily pleased then, probably thought city’s period under Stuart Pearce was the best swashbuckling attacking football you’ve ever seen and that includes the treble winning centurions ;-)
Nope, I'm not easily pleased. I just enjoyed England's performance last night. As for Stuart Pearce, I hated his style of play, and I didn't want him as manager in the first place.
Perhaps Argentina were poor which maybe helped make England look better than they actual are.

Surely your "Y" should have been Capitalized?
I did that to MIRROR the other mistake that was made, where a period was put in place of a comma, but then followed without a capital. The sentence wouldn’t have made any sense, either.

Lest you missed it, I was playing about with him. Every subsequent post has had some other grammatical, or punctuation, error.

;-)

No problem with her overall game, but she should have scored, or at least troubled the keeper, with those free headers.

Watching Canada v NZL. There's a City women's team player out there. Janine Beckie.
Sad to say the Kiwis didn't have many clues. Their amateur status was so evident, misplaced passes and playing the ball into dangerous positions instead of booting it into Row Z. And they gave the Canadian girls far too much room. Still they got to the finals so good on them.
